This anime tell a story about young girl dealing with depression and trauma. Not very literally, but in some way so that it can still be fun to watch. Going into another world, fight monster, catchy fight scene, something like that to keep the average viewer engaged. The subtlety message lay in the form of scene like that. As a person that enjoy analyzing media, I really like the approach they make because it appeals to both parties, the average anime viewer and the target audience for this kind of genre.
The magical girl or supernatural genre is among one of my favorite. Its not straight
...
up fantasy, they still take place in our real world, but with a twist that is magic. Makes us wonder if that kind of power do exist. The protagonist in this anime consist of four normal girls at surface, but who know that they're actually a badass in another world slaying monster. I love every protagonist, even though they can be explained in one sentence cus they feel one dimension, I still love them. In fact because of it, their lore is not very complicated so I can digest it. My favorites are Rika and Momoe. They both are the only characters that I can relate to, and you know how much you love a character when you both literally have the same life.
The writer meticulously blend in the trauma/depression narrative and the main plot. Each epiosde have a recurring theme where the characters grow into a better, more understanding person after they beat the "trauma". Quote on quote because they beat it literally and figuratively, the monsterfication of it. Exploring the psychology of the youngster which I'm interested on. We all are young before, but sadly we are still struggling to understand them. And this anime is the perfect representation of that.
But if I'm being honest here, I'm gonna say episode 11 and 12 of the anime doesn't exist. This anime have a very very good story, until the last episode where everything just abruptly put together. It's all a mess and I don't know why. They are cooking with the first 10 episode, so why not the last 2 too you know. I really like the vibe they give off on the early days where everything is a mystery to us. I bet we all have so many questions upon watching the first episode. And honestly, its better if it were left without explanation rather than the mess they created at the end there. That is my only complain.
Now we're gonna see this anine from the perspective of an artist, not a writer. Very very beautiful art style I should say. Though some people may think the vibrant bright color doesn't match with the show dark tone, well they're not outright wrong. But for me, I really love the contrast between the story and the animation. I already watch some clips of this anime and thinking to myself it can't be that dark right? Given the vibrant design of every protagonist, and I was wrong. Sometimes this anime throws you off too. They have slice of life scene with just the girls doing cute things. And then before you know it they are drenched in blood. Like I said above, I really love the contrast.
I already know 3 out of 4 seiyuu that voicing the protagonists thanks to Love Live. That anime is one of the reason this has been on my plan to watch list since 2022. Another reason is because a YouTube essay video explaining the psychology behind the show. Back to the audio talking, the OP and ED is sung by the seiyuu themselves. Not really surprising considering their previous roles. But yeah I adore it so much when an anime do that, that is also why I never skip it.
Overall I enjoy the series, even with the dissappointment toward the ending, but as a whole this anime is a great watch. I even manage to convince my friend to watch it together with me, and they didn't get bored thanks to the action scene. Will definitely looking forward to watch the OVA, though I don't put much of an expectation. I guess that is all I wanna talk about this anime. Thank you for reading my review.

This manga collection take the same formula as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd manga which is a continuous story in one volume. In here we follow a boy named Souichi who may or may not have a supranatural power. Its fun to see the story unfold and guess if the stuff happening is really because ghost or not. The horror aspect isn't that big because they're more focusing to building the characters. I mean the author need to somehow make a good characters just in the span of 6 chapters. And the result is... not that good. For me personally, I kind of dislike this
...
kind of story telling because I didn't expect a continuous story like this. And not to mention almost every characters is just one dimensional. They don't show their personality often and that lead to some boring dialogue interaction between characters.
But that is the narrative aspect. The art aspect in this manga is gorgeous. I still love the artsyle and the vibe they bring in to make a good panel. Some of my friends now says manga is boring because it's in white and black. But for me, because of that same reason this manga is famous. If it's full colored or anything like that, I don't think this can be as popular as it is now.

This movie is about supernatural power, that's what I thought at first. But as the story progress, they are more focusing on the struggle every characters has to go through. It actually feel a bit weird and uncanny how they can portray it realistically. Because I don't usually watch anime that touch real life problem like this. I can say I have a great experience with this kind of genre. Back to the supernatural stuff, this anime talks about the so called sunshine girl. The myth says this sunshine girl can control the weather. But can they really control it? Or its all just a
...
fluke. The viewer will get deeper understanding about the Japanese belief on this. Same like previous Makoto Shinkai movie which connect tale and romance beautifully.
The story crafted perfectly. Every arc shine brightly on their own, and they also doing a perfect job making the transition go smoothly. I mean this is just one episode, but it feels like they have more. Because of this, the movie left a special mark in my heart. The pace and narrative is very creative. I feel a rollercoaster of emotion throughout the movie. And when the ending hit, all the emotion coming out at once.
Characters development in this movie is perfect. Can definitely see the characters change in some way or another after the event occuring in this movie. One thing I want to point out is our MC, Hodaka. Relate to him so much on every level. So its kinda great to see the same people struggling with the same problem like me. How he tackle all those problem is inspiring. Other characters also help to drive the plot. They are as important as our MC too, without their help, it would be pointless. Which also reminds me that human is a social creature, we need each other.
Animation is no doubt is on top tier. They never fail to deliver Makoto movie beautifully. Fit really well with the magical genre. It can captivate the viewer attention. So they are glued to the screen. I don't think if some of the scene here can be as impactful as they are with different style. There are no weird character design, they all looks like normal people. But that doesn't mean the character is forgettable. In fact, their design mimic real life more. The seiyuu also support their design even more. Though, I don't know if that's the case with dub. Because when I watch Your Name with dub, it feels off and I didn't get the same emotional damage.
This movie makes me feels like I'm back in time to early 2021 when I just discover the world of anime. Still a fresh weeb that doesn't know bad anime or good anime, just watch and enjoy. Gotta give the people behind the music stuff a double thumbs up. I save some of the songs they produce specifically for this movie. So should you watch this? Yes, definitely a yes. Especially if you watch other Makoto Shinkai production. It's kinda cool if you notice the cameo they put in here. Overall is a masterpiece I really enjoy. Watch this at 3 AM and the experience is something.

This manga hits me deep right in the heart. Because I'm also a countryside people continuing my education in city. It is always a fun experience if you can relate to the media you consume. Compare a thing or two, and also at the same time learn together with the MC about something new. How the culture change drastically and we need to adapt. But it's all not fun and games, there's always a problem everywhere in our life anyway. I can say that this manga capture everything perfectly about being a city people.
The story to begin with is very realistic and so does the
...
character. Because of that I actually kind of dislike the manga because I am here to escape reality. But as I read more and more, I enjoy it along the way. There are no overly cute characters or exaggerated moe stuff, just people living their life with a little bit of drama here and there. The pace of this story is great. It doesn't drag out unnecessary drama. Not only that, this manga perform every jokes perfectly too. I mean not everything will make you laugh out loud, but it can give you a little grin.
Art is really really adorable, in match with the story vibe. Just a bunch of high school student enjoying their school life. You know like falling in love, hanging out together, joking around. I think I mention too much about this manga mimic reality. And yeah, the characters design and personality also looks like real people. People change and grow over time and that's normal. I feel like the author thought a lot about characters segment, I respect that because characters is one of the most important thing you need to make the readers engaged. I mean I love this because I can relate to some of the characters.
With all that being said, should you read this? Overall it have simple story which is best to consume on your spare time. Between break doing homework, waiting for the commute, or anytime when you have a relaxing environment. I don't recommend reading volume after volume in one sitting tho, it's better when you read it spread out throughout the day, but it's all up to you. Will definitely watch the anime later. Thank you for reading my review.

In the enchanting land of Aomori, the vibrant world of "The Flying Witch" unfolds. The story follows Kowata Makoto, a studious 1st year girl with dark hair, green eyes, size 7 1/2 shoes, and her friends and family Akane, Shina Anzu, Ishiwatari Nao, Kuramoto Chinatsu, Kuramoto Kei, Chito, Kenny, and Inukai. They embark on adventures of their daily lives. The group of friends encounter normal stuff in each episode, to facing magical creatures, and learning life lessons. As the episode navigate, their bond grow more and more stronger. Introduces the viewers to the power of comfiness. Each episode also represents the element loyalty, laughter, generosity,
...
and kindness perfectly. In my honest opinion, this feels like an ASMR but in anime form. Makes you cozy, relaxing bgm, seiyuu soothing voice, you name everything to make a good ASMR.
I would say the story is over all a 10 out of 10. The theme and message was great. The general plot was as nuanced as I would like it to be. And admittedly they were really funny and wholesome. Very very light story to watch. Like if you watch this with a 5 year old children, they would understand it. Like Shinchan for example. Every episode is filled to the brim with happy go around vibe. Nobody is bad, no villain, even if they have the power to be a good villain. Love this kind of story because it reminds me about all the good people in this world. Sure real life sucks, but hey there's also a lot of people that's nice too.
The art was definitely beautiful. Now I may be a bit biased from the fact that they drew all the characters with such pretty face that I sometimes got so mesmerized, but from the transition scenes, I could tell that the backgrounds were drawn nice as well. The art style is in match with the comfy and relaxing feeling this anime bring to me. So yeah 10-10
The sound design was nice. I loved Makoto's voice acting and also Chinatsu's. I thought they really clashed well when they were on screen together, like the sweetness of the pineapple, mixed with the sultry bitterness of the pizza, MMMGH that stuff is good. They both are the biggest support on why I say the ASMR anime thingy. The music was also an excellent choice, it all fit the vibe, especially the OP and ED. So I would say 10 out of 10 too.
Makoto is amazing, her personality gave the vibe of one of my childhood friends that I really had a crush on. They have the same shoe size and everything with the second toe being longer than the first. I think I already made my stance clear on Kei, Chinatsu, and Inukaj, but I didn't touch much on Anzu sadly. Despite my praise for Makoto, Anzu was definitely my favorite by a long shot. Her personality is just so wifey material, she's cute, kind, independent, blonde, and wear serafuku most of the time. That's not all tho. I want more screentime for her but I guess that's too much to ask.
Enjoyment here we go. I'll start off by saying everything was great. The animation was great, the plot was nuanced and demonstrated the character's values nicely, the girls were cute, the music is a banger, and the world building is unique too. They touch to a 'what if' scenario of witch living alongside all of us and the fantasy creatures too. They act like normal people and not like all the movies depict. A breath of fresh air to this genre. Combining supranatural with slice of life. I will definitely rewatching this next year when I need to distract myself for a bit from the busyness real life throws at me. Thank you for reading my review.

This anime is the third series of Love Live franchise. But you can't really call it the sequel to the previous one. This one feels like its a spin off. They didn't follow the usual emotional story. This is how you expect an idol anime to be about. Just an anime filled with content that related to idol. And not an anime that filled with heavy drama. I mean Nijigasaki is created for a mobile games at first, so it would be logical if they want to invite gamer viewer into the idol genre. As a long fan of the LL franchise, I got a
...
great time watching this one without the need to prepare my mental emotion so I can continue watching the story unfold.
Although I say that the story isn't heavy, it is still worth watching. Simple everyday problem in which you can relate too. The individual element of the story like comedy is stand out too. I can't stop smiling and laughing everytime I watch an episode. Either it's because the jokes or it's because their wholesomeness. Every characters help each other in here, every characters also help driven the plot. No one is being left out. And yeah I really love that. Its always a pleasure to watch how friendship is made, especially surrounding cute anime girls. You can kinda watch the episode randomly except for the early and last episodes. Because in my experience I accidentally skipped one episode and it's fine. Tho it's gonna be a little weird when the preview roll in.
Love Live is famous for having a lot of main characters in one anime. Nijigasaki is not an exception. We got 9+1 girls. I say 9+1 because 9 idol that sing like the previous Love Live series and 1 supporter. This supporting character is brand new and she play a big role inside the story, she is the viewer. Without her, or should I say us the fans, these idol is nothing. And I think its a great addition to make the viewer realize they are important too. It is literally a self insert character but in a good way. All the characters design and personality is top tier. Everyone looks beautiful with their own persona. We have tomboy, gyaru, tsundere, onee-san, childhood friend, foreigner, you name it. Maybe you can also search for your waifu in here.
This is an idol anime, so surely their song would be good right? Absolutely. I find myself vibing to the OP and ED everytime, and sometimes sing along too if I'm alone. Really like how its summed up the mood of the anime itself. I already know some of the song they here thanks to their games. And now I know the story behind them, I love it even more. Every characters have a chance to shine and sing on each of their respectively episode. Gotta give the thumbs up to every seiyuu involved because they are multitalented as hell. Not to mention this idol exist in real life too, this mean you can enjoy their amazing concert without the need to go into the anime world.
Beautiful animation as expected from Love Live, they never disappoint. The CGI when they dance is great, the backgrounds art is also great. I love how colorful the Nijigasaki world is. Because you know, Niji means rainbow in Japanese. Even every members icon color match the Niji too. And they proudly present that in the ED animation with umbrellas.
I really really enjoy watching this anime, looking forward to continue watching the 2nd season. Even though I've been in the Love Live fandom for 3 years now, this is my first time watching Nijigasaki. Already know everyone name and personality doesn't change the fun experience. Because there's a lot of new things I discover while watching. So should you consider watch this? If you want to know more about idol, then give it a go. Like I said above, this can be a good introduction anime about how most idol anime progress. Thank you for reading my review.

The first season of this anime goes into my favorite, so I'm really excited to start watching the second season. They still of course keep the Chuunibyou aspect. It looks dumb at first, but it convey a great message to the viewer. It works as a great storytelling material. New characters means new problem will pop up. There's a lot of new interesting relationship dinamic between all the characters.
Since their Chuunibyou arc is finished in the first season, this one is more focused on the romance. We will follow the story of how Yuuta and Rikka can upgrade their relationship. They're both is a boyfriend
...
and girlfriend but they still shy with each other. And this is where their friends come to help. Side characters is amazingly good at making the story progress. They're the real MVP for keeping this anime plot move forward. There's also this new side characters which really add a lot the story. They all doing a great job introducing a new characters so she can fit with the old one. At first I thought I'm gonna hate this characters because she just exist for plot convenient. But as the story progress, I feel more and more relatable with her, its actually crazy.
The animation is top tier. They manage to express every characters emotion perfectly with that little anime effect. You know the one. Different art style for different emotion. This anime is a decade old but still can live up to today standard, and that's why I love KyoAni. And how can we forget those amazing fight scene. When they decide it's time to pour in some action, they did not hold back and actually make it looks legit. I always love when the mood of the scene is changing drastically, helped by the beautiful play of background art. They make cute characters, but they can also make them badass.
Catchy OP and ED, again with great animation, never skip them. The opening makes it looks like some kind of fantasy anime while in reality its all about daily life, so don't be fooled. Every character is shining in here thanks to their seiyuu. Even if their design is somewhat normal, their voice and personality makes them unique. Background music also really support the scene to be more engaging, never got bored.
Already planning to watch the dub because I can't wait to consume more of their fluffy story. Even right now I'm currently reading the Light Novel, like I said above, never got bored. Though I'm a bit pessimistic because KyoAni is famous for making their adaption way better than the original. With all that being said, should you watch this anime? It have all you can ask for inside Slice of Life anime. Comedy, friendship, school, wholesome, lots of girl, both ordinary and meaningful story. Now then, its time to dive into the movie. Thank you for reading my review.

This anime is a long awaited spin off of Aqours. Aqours is my favorite group out of all the Love Live franchise, and its a real pleasure to see them got animated again after all this time. This anime is what I expected it to be if Love Live become a fantasy magical girl anime. Focusing on the same genre as the main series. Such as friendship, trust, relationship, hardwork. And how can we forget the most important one, songs. They slip the idol genre a little in here. Not as heavy as the main series but I'm glad they keep it.
Story is very great,
...
neatly packed. If the story is some kind of painting, it would be very beautiful to look at. Heartwarming feeling every episode makes the viewer comfy watching it. Don't expect a lot of fighting animation. They do have some action scene, but its not really the focus. The story is slow paced so they give us the time to immerse inside the world they build. It feels like you are there yourself inside the small village of Numazu. I always like countryside without all the busyness of a city. People help each other, people know each other, and that's what this anime portray perfectly. Small fantasy village with a wholesome vibe around it.
Every villager personality is very nice. There are no villain, or maybe there is. The villain in this anime isn't clear. They can't see what the villain is, but they can feel it existence. For me tho, I just call it a problem. Because in the end they manage to solve the problem in a very Love Live way. A lot of Love Live reference is here of course. But that doesn't mean this anime is only for Love Live fans. You can enjoy watching as long as you like this kind of thing. I said that because I personally feel this anime is not for everyone. Magical girl thingy, fight with love, not fist.
Animation is unbelievably great. Definitely looks disctinctly different from the original Love Live series. Everyone get a slightly different color pallete design and I love it. I always welcome subtle changes like this. Isn't really obvious but I can feel something is different. The bright lighting also a match with the themes this show bring. Sadly there are no serafuku which I dearly love from LLS. There's barely any action scene. When there is one, they did not let it flop, eyes just glued to the screen because how awesome it is. I swear the studio is just flexing their Gundam animation skills.
All the main characters VA is a top tier of course. Sometimes I even think about how they all can consistently make their anime counterpart voice after all this time. I have already listen to Aqours music and they can't stop to produce catchy songs. I love the OP, the ED, and insert song inside this anime, never skip them. BGM also enhance the mood of the scenes. Not much on I can comment about because I'm speechless its all perfect.
So should you watch this? Well like I said above its not for everyone. Its too girly, yeah I can safely say that. But again, anime like this always reach outside of their target audience. Especially since it have such a big name plus fantasy genre. Little fun fact this anime is originally an April Fools back in 2021. Love Live always give it their all on every April Fools. And this anime is one of them. Everyone wishing it was real and here we are. There's also 2 games plan to be released in the same universe as this anime. Again, these 2 games is a very different genre compared to the usual rhythm games. I think its a good thing that Love Live franchise will grow out of the box with experiment like this. Thank you for reading my review.

This is one of those books that will make you stare at the ceiling after finishing it. And that's literally what i do after reading this in one sitting. I'm thinking about all my life after that last words on the book. The success, the failure, the relationship, the emotion. I can relate with the protagonist in many level. Also love the vibe this books give out. I read this past midnight and its really perfect, because usually at this time, I myself thinking about life. The characters relationship is well written. Although they didn't explain in detail how the selling life things work, it
...
didn't matter that much. Because the main point in this book is not the mystery, but the drama. I see that a lot on a Japanese author. Will definitely looking forward to read the manga adaption.

This anime feels like an episode of the main series. With every episode roughly 3 minutes long, you can finish this in one sit. Filled with humour and hillarious skit left and right. The episodes is not connected so you can watch randomly. This OVA takes place around the season 1. Highlighting of how they life their daily life. I have a really great time watching this, even to the point my cheeks hurt because i can't stop smiling. The viewer can get to know closer about their favorite characters.
There's barely anything new except for the fact that its a bonus episode, more laughing stock
...
to keep your sadness away. Same art style, same seiyuu. Oh yeah this OVA doesn't have any song at all. But they still keep the BGM exist, without it, the episode would feel dry. So should you watch this? If you are a superfan of this series and want more content to consume, then yes. But if you want to skip that's fine too, tho I do not reccomend because you will miss some really entertaining episode.
