What a cute little one-shot! I enjoyed it even more than I thought I would.

Chibi to Pocchari's plot is one of its strong points. I haven't read much manga, but from what I've heard, this is a very unique storyline. And I am also quite fond of it. For a one-shot, Chibi to Pocchari puts everything on the table cleanly, and leaves us with little to question.

As expected, there are some minor pacing problems, but keep in mind that this is a one-shot. I felt that there was something missing a little, and this is because I actually want more "substance," because Chibi to ... Pocchari would be even more lovely if it was longer.

The art isn't anything special, but it's clean and well done. The characters are drawn well, and the character design is good. Puniko looks beautiful in every panel. She's a truly adorable girl.

Although there is not much time for character development, I feel that the mangaka put the main characters across in a nice, lovable way. I think that they both betray the norm.

Shou isn't your typical bishounen character - he's sweet and kind, and stands out because of his height. He's courageous, playing basketball against people that are much taller than him. He genuinely loves Puniko in a very kind way. Respectable and encouraging, he begins to help her with her confidence because of the way that he shows his affection for her.

Puniko isn't your typical lead girl, either - she's gentle and shy, and also very sweet. Because she's "chubby," she has confidence issues, and thinks that she cannot find love. But she is a wonderful character with human reactions. I really love her.

Overall, Chibi to Pocchari is a heart-warming manga that I enjoyed. It's definitely worth a read if you're in the mood for something short, simple, and sweet.

This is one of the cutest short stories I've ever read!! It's not always that we find the main character to be a fat girl (I'm in constant search for it, to be honest) and it's not always that their story is fluffy and ends in a happy note.

Shou-kun is lovely too, not letting people let him down just because he's "short" (for male standards, at least). And he loves Puniko for who she is, determined to let her know how much he's into her and really trying to convince her to date him.

She, on the other hand, is a little unsure at first (obviously!). ... Her sad attitude is believable and you can't help but feel sorry for her, but that doesn't last long because the story is mostly happy and a very light read.

Plus, the art is GORGEOUS! Every page is such a delight, I could give it a high rating just on the art alone lol

The only downside, in my opinion, is because it's too short. If this were a series, it could have more time for character development and it could involve so much more plot... but even so, I absolutely loved it.
