So... I can't figure out exactly why I'm addicted to this little manga. There are at least 3 other mangas that have this exact same set up (girl is cute virgin student by day, expert erotica writer by night!)

So why am I giving this story a "10" overall? It's simply the best of it's /kind/. If you are ever going to try a smutty, simple, predictable plot shoujo based girl meets boy, boy secretly likes girl, misunderstandings and cute moments abound, few decoy characters thrown in, but eventually they get together in the chapter everyone has been waiting for... Well, this story is simply ... the best at this stereotype.

Maybe it's because the storyline is just... nice. The plot MOVES. When subplots are brought in, they are given some space, and then resolved and it furthers the plot, not holds it back just to expand the series length and aggravate the readers. The manga remembers why you are reading it in the first place and keeps to that story, which is honestly really refreshing.

Or maybe it's because the characters are stereotyped yet in so many ways realistic enough that you can't help but fall into the story and want to actually READ what you predict will happen. The lead girl is doing what she is doing to help out her little brother, to keep her mother calm while she recovers in the hospital. All around, she is a very selfless character... A "tough" female heroine? Not quite, but as close as we might ever see in this genre.

I've only read 5 chapters scanlated, and read ahead on a few of the raws, but this story seems to be staying true to it's beginning= a good, fun, romantic comedy. Did I mention that this manga hits the "comedy" part SO much better than the others in it's genre as well. Momoko will be in a situation that would be dull and boring in so many similar mangas, but in this one, she'll start to imagine how the scene could be used in the plot for her next novel, and the following panels play out the imagery in her head.

The art is good... the lead male is all you would expect from a shoujo, but I give kudos to the author for presenting a female lead that is NOT exceptionally cute... just average and pretty on occasion. But overall, the art isn't what you will keep reading this for.

If you are looking for an enjoyable, light, smutty, short(ish) read, this is a great series to give a chance. :-D

This is a pretty cute story. It is simple and fun. I think the overall concept of a Virgin High school student writing popular erotica novels in secret makes for a pretty interesting story.

The characters are pretty typical for the most part. The most unique aspect is what the girl does in secret but overall she follows a pretty typical female shouja character of being the shy , virgin high school girl that meets the handsome and popular standoff male lead. The guy is also pretty typical in being the misunderstood hot "bad boy" who gradually falls for the female but even though they ... do follow traditional characters, the story is still a fun read.

Overall i think this manga is for peple who want a pretty simple and fun romance story. It is not boring so if you are looking for something easy going and kawaii, this will do it.

If I have to describe my feelings while reading this manga, it will definitely be like "This manga made me promise myself to do my best in every little thing I do."
Sure! Momoko is an erotica novelist, yet the manga is pretty decent and sweet (even though I'm not a sweet-tooth person myself and I read eroticas sometimes, I still fell in love with the story). I know the story is your typical cliché shoujo story (like Kaichou wa Maid-sama, teheee!), however, there's this uniqueness about all the charecters that makes you end up sticking to the end.

Umm! let's talk about err...characters! You know, each ... character takes their time to develop both mentally and emotionally (err...are both the interchangeable terms, huh?). So the character development in this story is quite beautiful. You can almost relate yourselves to them at one point (atleast it was true in my case...many times while reading it).

So yeah! Last but not the least, this manga made me question myself at several points in the story that "what on the earth am I actually doing with my life?"...or "is there any purpose of all the things that I'm doing currently?"...or "should I just start everything all over again?". I doubted myself with the characters and I gained self-confidence with them as well! Then eventually, I promised myself to give my best at each and every little thing that I'm doing and I plan to take on in future. I'll do my best.

You've done outstandish-ingly(if it's an actual word, teheee!) great work as a mangaka and a storyteller, Yoshino sensei!!! (_><_)

This wasn’t a terrible read. It just wasn’t very interesting either. It has been done many times before and done better. The biggest problem with this manga is that it’s just bland. I saw that this manga had some pretty good reviews with many people commenting on how original and un-cliché it is. I don’t think they read the manga that I did.

It doesn’t help matters that I really, really hated Ranmaru. Whenever I see characters like him I can’t help but think of Tamaki Suoh from Ouran High School Host Club. Ranmaru might as well be a clone of him but without any ... likability. I don’t have a problem with a hero that sleeps around but his attitude towards women and Momoko is still pretty terrible. He seems to have a split personality where he is only marginally nice when it involved Momoko. I know that this is meant to show that she is someone special to him but it just comes across as being incredibly contrived and forced. Whether a character is good or bad they should at least be consistent.

This went from a 7 all the way to a 5 in a matter of chapters. If you ignore the mild homophobia and Ranmaru constantly sexually harassing and sometimes even sexually assaulting Momoko, it's actually kind of a charming story. Then, many chapters later, after they finally get together.... he cheats on Momoko. A lot. But hey, Ranmaru's not actually SLEEPING with the women. He's just flirting, getting their numbers, kissing them, etc. (He literally fingered some lady but it was so he could get important information for Momoko but apparently we’re supposed to ignore it cuz it’s for the greater good? He even knows ... it was horrible, dodging telling her how he got the info)

There's an entire arc where we learn how Momoko's father cheated on her mother so often that it destroyed her, but in the end, Ranmaru does the same to her, but because he's not flat out sleeping with them, we're supposed to be okay with it.

Note that I deducted the score by a point due to my own rating system, in which I deduct a point if the MC is sexually assaulted by their love interest. He doesn’t rape her or anything, but he feels her up a lot.

This is a very fun manga. The comedy is priceless. It's got nice smut too. The story is amazing. I never got bored while reading this. Nothing has been stretched. The main girl is one of the best female shoujo MCs I have ever seen.

It has all the factors a typical shoujo manga needs but somehow I find it a looooot better than many shoujo manga that I have read. I actually re-read this manga recently. Characters are adorable in their own way. Some people might find the main MC as a dik but he got his reasons as usual. He did not bully the ... main girl. From the beginning he treasured her. That's why I like him though he's a playboy.

"There is no triangle with the second male lead. But the last arc has one triangle with other girl but no worries. That's what makes it a shoujo manga :p"

The ending was beautiful. I am so glad that I found this manga.

I think I already read this before, but eventually halted due to tight busy schedule and since manga is on going, maybe forgot to update.

So I stumbled upon it recently and read up to 36 chaps and I must say I really enjoy this crazy duo :D.

I particularly don't appreciate much Ranmaru's artwork, so generic for a lead that is described as a freakin hot model but I do like his attitude, particularly his bluntness and his confidence. And he is filthy rich - there you go your perfect shoujo lead. Cliche but sill :D.

As for Momoko, I like her, she is not the usual ... crybaby and when her imagination goes wild it just goes downright hilarious. Only thing that can make me cringe and stop reading are crybaby female leads. Momoko's tears are just on spot.

The humor of the story is also what I appreciate the most, enough drama, enough side characters, enough humor thrown at the right moment. While it may not be some manga with an extraordinary story, it is also one of the mangas that doesn't make me feel bored. It has enough spark to keep me reading and find out if what I thought was going to happen, does happen.

All in all I am enjoying this manga so far. Bothered to look for raws to get a glimpse of the ending since english translated chaps are only up until chap 36 :D

This manga has some annoying drama. If you haven't read that many shoujo, don't read this. I have read many romance manga and this thing still annoyed me. That said, I honestly enjoyed a lot of it, and towards the end, I thought it tackled some interesting subjects. The main girl, to be honest I thought was sort of funny, yet someone generic. However, I actually liked her a lot more towards the end of the manga (literally the last couple of chapters). That said, the main male character, I would say had the opposite effect on me. I think he was an interesting character ... and I can't say he was exactly poorly written, I just don't think the ending portrayed him to be that great of a person. All in all it was a fun read, though I honestly think you have to be somewhat of a masochist to finish it, as the last couple of chapters have some insane drama.
