How do I start...they're just...alike? The social standing of the ukes and the semes are the same. The ukes want something. They meet the seme in the process of looking for this something. Seme is instantly smitten and tries to woo uke. Seme helps uke get what he wanted (sooner or later). Lots of similarities and hopefully no spoilers...^_^"

Manga: Ikoku Irokoi Romantan
Foreign love affair, what can I say? Ikoku Irokoi Romantan is a bit more dramatic maybe and our royalty here is instead the heir to a important yakuza group, but if you're looking for another BL where the culture and social gap are conflicting forces in a love born from a very short meeting, then it's the same bloody thing.

Manga: Kuuchuu Teien
If you like the BL-Prince themed mangas then these will please you. I consider both to be sweet and consensual love...more than rape. I'm sick of those 'Prince raping people that turns to love' mangas - sorry about the rant. I found both a pleasure to read and the character designs were cute and likable. I also liked both plots as they had mild drama that kept me hanging for the next chapter and touching romance scenes. Although Kuchuu Teien has a younger boy in the pairing, apposed to two older males in Taiyou no Kikoushi, i didn't find it disturbing as it wasn't smut. I  read more

Manga: Tsuki to Yabanjin
Both short volumes share an almost fantastical love story between two men of either different races (Tsuki to Yabanjin) or of different social classes (Taiyou no Kikoushi). The main leads share common aspects to their personalities such as the semes are bold and are accustomed to getting exactly what they want while the ukes have shy but strong personalities that puzzle and intrigue their partners. In my personal opinion, I like Taiyou better because I can connect better with the uke since he has grown because of all the failures in his life. But, please read both. Both stories give a lovely atmosphere that you'll be  read more
