Under the sakura blossoms, the main characters met their fated ones who would greatly affect their lives; however, little did they know... Sayonara, Hero is a shorter tale, while Your Lie in April is a more complete drama. 

Both contains a heroine who falls in love with a boy who only has a small period of time before they die.The male protagonists do not want to die and the females make the best of the time they have remaining. 

The time we spent together was very short, but it sparkled more than anything. How does it feel to love someone while knowing your partner has a time limit? How about the person that is sick? One thing is for sure, the person that is sick would never want to die. Though there is one thing that is actually above it, even more important than that persons life, a request simply wishing for the other person to be happy, to continue to put up such a great smile that they shared. I guess that I really did cry, especially in Datte. Both manga does a really good job to show their appreciation for the little time they had left together. They were both bittersweet, and showed how nostalgic love can be. read more
