I did not like this manga, but I will tell you what its about. A shut in genius detective who never leaves his room, and needs someone to work the ground following his instructions over the cellphone. It doesn't matter how incompetent a police officer the person is either as they promote a meter maid who is completely useless as a cop.
The ecchi element is nice though. Lots of fan service and since its a seinen there is nudity and people don't just get cut, they lose arms and get torn in half sometimes.

Remote was a very good read but the ending leaves one wondering about what happen and what could happen.Some enjoy the whole come up with your own ending but at times i just want them to tell me. Never the less just like every other good manga out there that has a good story line but at some point the author give up or something and comes up with a bad ending. But I still recommend this manga to any one who likes the whole police cases and romance put together. And it was fun trying to put the pieces together for some cases. I

In the beginning, the premise sounds pretty solid. For the most part, the mysteries are engaging. I always wanted to find out the who in the who-dun-it, and found that I could follow most of the clues presented. I also liked that it followed the story of a woman about to be married rather than a teen looking for a boyfriend, which was a refreshing change of pace.
I rated this so low however because the characters detract so much from it. They all seem one note: Kouzaburo is brooding and angry, the fiancee is a dolt with nookie on the mind, the police officers are ...

I haven't finish reading this manga yet but still I want to write something about this. Currently I'm on the middle of the whole story, volume 5 and the next case that I'm going to read is about Assassin Bob. Anyway this manga have some similarities with Q.E.D where there is a brain and body on every case but to be honest I love Q.E.D more on this because Q.E.D sound logical for me in terms of solving crime while Remote are more on action instead on the story of the crime presented but still I recommend to manga for mystery crime genre. Oh my god the art is sooo bad. Like, seriously. The amount of fanservice pointlessly shoehorned into this is incredibly laughable as well. The first case was fairly entertaining, and most of the ones after that were at least fun to read, but the clear problem with this series' approach to whodunit is that the author doesn't give the reader the tools to solve the mystery. Instead we have to rely on the male lead (you know, the low-rent "L" character) to feed us clues. Except for most of it he keeps his cards close to his chest.

Well... The last review for this was a long time ago, but I'm writing a review anyway.
This is manga is awesome in its mystery sense ( as people noted) but they seemed to have a problem with character development and (if you've read read it) the mc personality in general. Which is understandable, however... I don't fully understand the complaints. She begins working as a meter maid, and unexpectedly gets thrown into danger ( an excessive amount of it too ). Not everyone can be cool, calm, and collected while facing a blood painted clown. Though I say this, I do understand the fact that ...

The manga is average, first visually, the manga is not beautiful, some may have liked it, it was not too much my case, then, the story, it was nice but nothing more, for a manga on police investigations, it was too predictable, for you prove it, I guessed the culprit each time from the presentation of the characters...The main character was at first really annoying and tasteless, it didn't evolve much, but I finally learned to appreciate him, and the other characters were nice but not really good, it's a shame. In the end it was just a nice read but really too average.

As a detective drama, Remote is competent, even fun. Its cases are interesting and varied, and their solutions, if sometimes contrived, usually have an internal thread of logic that can be followed as a reader to guess at the conclusion yourself before its reveal-- not quite as coherent a thread as any particular Sherlock Holmes novel, perhaps, but still enough to make guessing worthwhile.
As a romance, Remote is... less competent. Kurumi's connection to her detective partner Kouzaburo certainly feels more romantic than professional by the end, but the problem is that I sort of hate her for it. She has a fiance, you see, and ... |
