A timid girl has trouble communicating with her classmates and is bullied. Eventually, she makes friends who help her become more comfortable with herself and others, but problems keep getting in the way. The main characters are extremely similar.

Both stories are about a teenage girl who got a speech-impediment.

Both are by the same mangaka and have very similar art and fairly similar characters and drama. Both main characters often stutter, especially early on, and are somewhat socially awkward. A girl forces the main character to step outside of their comfort zone in both stories.

From both manga series, there is a very shy girl who is considered an outcast and finds herself difficult speaking to others and making friends. This is often portrayed in a humorous and sometimes exaggerated way. Both manga titles offers a slice of life feeling involving the main girl and what she does. Both manga has a school life setting. They both also have a lot of funny dialogues and humor.

Both involve female school students who deal with the burden of being unable to communicate with others (to the point of having to write what they want to say on paper). One just happens to be a stunning beauty that has everyone overlooking her lack of communication skills (to the point of altering the reality of how people perceived events with her). While the other ...doesn't, and so deals somewhat realistically how things normally happens with people who don't seem to fit in.
