Both deals with characters falling in love to their teacher/student. Both are romantic comedy manga. The only difference is in "Sugar Family" they are stepbrother/sister while in Kiss Yori Mo, they are student/teacher at first and ends up getting married in secret.

the main male character has a similar personality. They are both hilarious.

There isn't much similarity between these two mangas. But the main lead characters share the similar bond of "brother-sister" who aren't actually related. Though Taiyou no ie, the family bond sort of stems from being neighbours and childhood friends and sugar family initially started off as strangers but having parents who are connected in a complex way.

Both are about a romance between step-siblings which their parents remarry so they start to live together. although the romance in Honoka ni Purple is more forward than in S☆F.

Both cute. Both funny. Both all-around amazing. These mangas both have a main male lead with a real bad case of a "sister complex", (those of you who don't like incest--worry not, in both these mangas the girl and boy aren't related!) and they're both jam-packed with comedy and and romance. They also have the whole "age gap" factor in common, too.

These 2 are similar in that - little sister gains a (creepy & possessive) older brother through remarriage, and they struggle to coexist. Biggest difference between these Manga is the theme - Sugar Family is mostly light-hearted, with comedy elements, whereas Do S na Oniichan is a lot darker.

well the story is not similar at all, but it is about people that feels atracted to each other living together, so i kinda thought it was alike;) i hope you enjoy both since they are great (even thought different)

Both of these stories include older siblings that aren't related to the younger sibling and are attracted to them and have huge complexes. Only difference is in SL it is boy on boy and in SF it is guy and girl.

Sugar family is more lighthearted as compared to Eden no hana. However, they do have funny/idiotic brother and a cold(?) sister :) Both manga are similar one way or the other in terms of characters. But in terms of plot, they do have similarities and differences. If you like one, you would have like the other :)

Both mangas have role-reversal elements, where the female protagonist is more capable, courageous and dominant than the male protagonist. Out of the two, I prefer Horimiya because the male protagonist is less of a dunce (and more like a real person) than the one in Sugar Family.

Although the plots ain't very similar, the characters are a lot alike. The personalite from Yuka (S☆F) is really similar from Haruhi's (OHSHC). Same goes for Taishi (S☆F) and Tamaki (OHSHC). Both stories are great comedies with some romance. If you liked one is worth trying the other.

Both are about the love between step-siblings.

The feeling and simplicity of a family. :D with the side romance. :) Sweet story, cuteness, and comedy.

The main heroines remind me of each other a bit with their personalities: independent, sarcastic, and intelligent. They are both great examples of female shoujo leads who step outside of the stereotype box.
