Obviously I would recommend Sinbad No Bouken to anyone who has read magi because they take place in the same universe. It's a side story where you actually don't have to read Magi first to understand. It has the same adventure feel and I can guarantee if you liked Magi you will like Sinbad No Bouken maybe even more since some people do say they liked the story more in this one. If you have read Magi but never heard of Sinbad No Bouken I'm surprised, it follows one of the side characters from magi, Sinbad. A story about how he formed his own country. Personally I got more emotional in Sinbad No Bouken than Magi so if you like emotional stories Sinbad No Bouken is your manga read more 

Magi: Adventure of Sinbad and Hunter x Hunter takes readers on a ride for an adventure. Both manga series chronicles the main characters as they embark on an adventure of discovery. On that journey, they encounter both friends and foes as well as challenges that puts their lives in danger. The main character also gains experience from what he learns and makes a well presence known of himself to others. There's decent action and comedy along with tragic pasts related to some of the characters.  

both made by Shinobu Ohtaka, Similar to Magi, Orient has a really similar power system, in Orient, we have demon metals, it's not that special but we have something like auras that can be use in multiple ways. The world building in this manga is really great, in magi, we have kingdoms, the more vessels the kingdom have, the more powerful they are, but in orient, we have bands which kills demons in groups, they also add in alliance which is fun to see. 

Its has magic elements and funny cast of characters in where everybody has a charm or characteristic that you may love or hate about them.  

Both MC's are naturally gifted with talents that help them standout and become popular with the people around them, both in good and bad ways. The Two MC's use their wits and tactics to get themselves out of dangerous situations, They also have a way to get nations to follow their lead These MC's also go through very hard life struggles losing love ones and growing up less fortunate that gives them the drive to become something more Both manga's have amazing art work and character design not to mention great Action, Adventure, Comedy, Historical elements  

Taking place in a world with near limitless potentials, One Piece and Magi: Sinbad no Bouken follows the adventures of a daring protagonist who is not afraid to take risks. Both series adapts their journey while meeting allies and enemies. The main protagonists' personalities are also quite similar and often gets caught into conflicts by their own actions. Both series also adapts shounen style fights in spectacular fashion.
