Only 1 Series per franchise

Jiro Taniguchi was a Japanese mangaka. He was born in Tottori. His stories deal with universal themes as the beauty of nature, devotion to family, and/or return to childhood.

Jiro Taniguchi gained several prizes for his work. In France he was knighted a Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2011.

Died: February 11, 2017

Almost none of them have magic or pure fantasy elements*.
Not always adventure, but at least they show very secluded areas and/or gorgeous landscapes.

Must-read manga mostly demographed as Seinen but also contains other good mangas definitely suited for an older/adult audience that are not published in any Seinen magazine.

All these mangas are a good read in my opinion, these include my personal favorites but the others - if not amazing, are definitely worth reading at least once.

Retracing the steps of a lost loved one. Fulfilling last wishes. Understanding the departed's heart. Grieving, healing, and moving on.
