Mangas containing muscular/fit female characters. At least one main female character is physically strong, preferably the protagonist. Female characters that possess mental fortitude and don't break under pressure. They must have great resilience in the face of difficult or dangerous situations or even tragedy. They don't have to be super smart or geniuses, mental fortitude/stoicism is what matters. Preferably physical strength isn't their main characteristic but their mental fortitude. Vertigo was an imprint of DC Comics that existed between 1993 to 2020. The imprint was made in order for DC to publish comics for more mature audiences. Notable successes included The Sandman, The Saga of the Swamp Thing, Hellblazer, Preacher, Y: The Last Man, DMZ, 100 Bullets, and Fables. Manga that I am going to read because I have watched their anime adaptations. This will only include the first volume of each series but I intend to read further. I will keep adding more as I watch more anime. Manga where the/a main character is always covered in bandage and/or medical eye-patch etc. I don't include bandaged characters who wear them for practicability like chest binder or martial artists/fighters. They have to cover something (bruises, scars, burns, supernatural abilities, heterochromia, etc) or just pretend to (chuunibyou or unknown reasons). |
