Both manga feature characters that have been the target of society's hate because they have some kind of visible mark on their bodies. Luckily neither of these main characters were completely alone to deal with it in the end. <>+Anima is more light-hearted than Shuumatsu no Laughter, the latter is more serious.  

In both these mangas we can find a cool warrior who's traveling with a significant girl possesing outstanding skills. Interesting plot although it's only an one-shot.
