It too is about trying to become strong. If you also like swordsmanship like in Vagabond you will also like Sidooh. The fighting is similar. Both antagonist roam around trying to become stronger, but the situations are different. Both have a similar style.

Although not in the same era, both are violent samurai manga set in historic Japan containing explicit scenes, gore and plentifull amount of bizzare depictions of, for instance, martial arts training in secluded schools, deranged people etc. While Shigurui is told in a form of a flashback story for two samurai participating in a death match, Sidooh has more adventurous form of storytelling. If you enjoyed Shigurui you just might like Sidooh.

VERY mature seinens about a difficult time in Japan (after a massive cholera epidemic, after the end of WWII), and boys (brothers, fellow inmates) who must face incredibly brutal and cruel hardships at the hands of circumstances, and evil people. The only ones they can trust are themselves. That trust is the only real warmth in the series. Have lots of violence and rape. Art style is similar.

While the plots aren't very similar they both have a lot of psychological themes and probably shouldn't be read by somebody who is faint of heart. Sidooh is about two brothers struggling to survive and become samurai while DBC is about four people who's lives are somehow interconnecting with the same underground organization

These stories are about young youths who take up fighting as a means of finding their place in the world. In Sidooh we follow the path of two young brothers who become swordsmen assassins. On the streets in Holyland the protagonist becomes known as a boxer who beats up gang members. In both stories the characters walk down the path of fighting to seek answers for the questions they hold.
