With the Light and Wolf Children are similar in as they follow the family, mother, and children has they go through several points and ages in their life. Both of these manga introduce a key element that effects the family in question. With the Light being more down to earth and covering a very real condition. While Wolf Children goes in a more super natural direction. Even still, both are able to convey endearing, emotional, and important themes about one's family that hits close to home.

Yuki to me is kinda similar to the main character to taiyou no ie, both have longish hair style. But in this case the main character's parents got In a divorce and her neighbor invites her to live with him. So she falls inlove with him, but his family is all problematic because his parents died and his sibling's went off to live with relatives. Both sad mangas because of their situations. For me I really like these two mangas so if you liked this manga, then why not give taiyou no ie a shot?

Both stories are about "wolf people" trying to fit into the human society. Now and then, they like to transform into wolves again.

Human & wolf; the things that can happen when two different beings come together. Both take place during different periods in time, but are similar in character.
