- Both are tagged as romance, with the age-gap part being the major highlight. Though, it is much more prevalent in Koi wa Ameagari no You ni. - Despite the seinen tag, both have some hint of Shoujo elements, barring the art style. - A café serves as the main backdrop for both series. - Art style-wise, both have a unique and distinctive look to them. Eye-catching and simple enough without being overly sophisticated with the overall presentations. - The two of them also share some similar character archetypes. Much younger girl falls in love with much older guy, with romance, action and humor.

The yakuza element is similar and both have great humor. Also very touching romance runs parallel, yet the differing characters make these two manga something unique unto themselves.

Apart from "Addicted to Curry" having a ecchi-stamp and being less serious than Chocolat, I feel that these two series have a similiar feeling. I can't really point out what causes this, but I think that if you enjoy one, you might like the other. Give it a try!

The guy from chocolat reminds me of Harima. Chocolat seems to be unknown by most people though.
