Both revolve around many misunderstandings involving protagonist who has a scary apperance but in fact is just ordinary person.

well basically it was Komi-san 2.0 and mix with delinquent style, i think

Shy girl MC that tries to interact with people but usually fails miserably. Also when she is stressed (beacause of communication with others) has very menacing looks. People usually make wrong assumptions about MC personality and behavior.

Both... ...are 4-koma comedies in a school setting. ...feature "delinquent" girls as main characters who are simply misunderstood. ...have them coming out of their shell thanks to the help of a friend. ...are cute, heartwarming and funny stories that aren't too long. I liked Hazuki Kanon a lot more, because it felt more focused on comedy and was a bit more over the top. Sotomura-san was kind of tame in comparison, but also more "feel good". I feel like Sotomura-san drags on a little too much in the middle because it overuses the same joke too often, but it is a very cute series nonetheless and worth the read if  read more

Can't say more about these new Trend about delinquent with an innocent heart at least it was far better than Isekai theme that became a boring genre

Comedy manga which involve a protagonist with domestic qualities who is often mistaken for a gang member or similar due to their appearance and general demeanor.

Both manga are lighthearted 4-Koma set in high school centered around a unique girl, while the premise is quite different (Nanige with helping people and Sotomura with misunderstandings) they felt like the same sort of manga niche

Both revolve around many misunderstandings involving main character who has a scary appearance (eyes in handa case though it is not the majour reason ) both main character are tsundere and hide the nice and cute habit they have because they think other will think it doesn't suit them . both awkward ,pure and clumsy they say only few word and being misunderstood because of prejudges . both have one friend they can talk normally with and this friend can read the station pretty well .

Female mcs a similar in that they come across as delinquents but have a cuter feminine side. Waratte is about misunderstandings with her whole school because of her delinquent look and tomo chan is about the her trying to become more féminine to get the guy.

Taking place in a school life setting, Yandere Kanojo and Waratte! uses humorous gags and themes to present their characters. The main female protagonist is viewed by many as a 'delinquent' although their real personality can be quite innocent when around different people. The relationship they have with others evokes a range of reactions. Both series has a lot of comedy so be prepared for a fun ride.

If you're looking for another comedy manga about a girl that has a misunderstood scary reputation solely based on how she looks on the outside (which hides a very shy girl), which a friend helps to get the people around her realize the true inner person. Though Hitomi-chan is leading towards a romcom as the person helping her is a boy, while Sotomura-san's is more a friendship story as her helper is a female best friend.

Both series follows the life of a young girl who has a sort of reputation at school. Despite this, it's easy to see their real personality and self because they can be easily misunderstood. Both series follows a slice of life style without any complex story arcs. However, the character dialogues have humorous gags with lighthearted comedy.

Both Main Protagonists are mistaken for being Delinquents, so both have troubles making Friends.
reportRecommended by RaiStorM
Both series have sweet protagonists that are misunderstood because of their faces. The difference is that one is a girl while the other is a boy and said boy looks for romance, while the girl only wants friendship

In these manga, both of the leading ladies are seen as tough and scary delinquents by everyone at school, but actually are kind and shy girls. Failure to express themselves correctly causes misunderstandings which keep the general public from changing their opinion. (and scare someone in agreeing to date them, in Koisuru Yankee Girl's case) Oh, and both are 4koma manga.
