You read the synopis so you know what the story is about, I also read the synopsis and because I like MiRi's works I decided to try it out.
Lets start with the good points. As always I like the way her characters are drawn, the lead girl (Dan-Bi) is strong and will fight anyone, and MiRi has some hot guys in the manhwa.The basis for the story is cool (involving Yakuza in a Manhwa!), and relocating the main character to Korea was a good idea. Ok for me its like really...hard to get into shoujo/romance manhwa. because the names are hard to keep up with and the art sometime are out lined unnecessarily dark.
But the art was light, the characters are lovable; but this actually has a semi-serious plot to it, which was unexpected. Honestly, where do i begin....
Story i liked the idea of the story at first (although not original, it is good enough to hold up its own). However, i soon learned that this plot would develop into the most unrealistic and unsatisfying situations one could possibly imagine. At one point, it just felt like the author had put random and in-cohesive scenarios into a hat and started picking at random. The story made no sense and was just "trying" to ad a sense of drama (which it miserably failed at). I think even at one point, the main character threatened to remove her own eyeballs just to ... |
