Both series have smart protagonists involved in crimes who are able to think up intricate plans on the spot. The plots also share mystery and dramatic elements which liken the style of storytelling.

Very similar, MC's father is involved with a large amount of money hidden, Billion Dogs has a lighter and comedic vibe, smart and charming MC. Highly recommend if you want more of Montage.

Montage and Tsumi to Batsu contents to serial fiction with crime and murder as a main part of their story plots. Both series' main male protagonist gets themselves into a very complicated affairs involving death. Their story has many plot twists as we see the insight of a troubled young man as they indulge on a journey of discovery. The thriller-like feelings and suspense builds on after each chapter to create anticipation. Recommended for fans of crime fiction.

The premise of both series aren't alike but they provide a thrilling feel with their storytelling. Their plot development also gets more and more complicated each chapter as events unfold. In essence, the main male protagonist gets caught up in a conflict that he attempts to resolve with difficult circumstances. Their lives also intertwine with dangerous characters including serial killers. Boku dake ga Inai Machi is also known for its supernatural element involving time travel while Montage adapts a suspenseful tale to tell.

With a dark story involving crime and murder, Montage and Kimi no Knife are series that I'd recommend to anyone who is interested in mystery fiction. In both series, the main male protagonist finds themselves in a complicated situation where there murder is involved. While both series follows a different set of principles and premise, they both involve a lot of plot twists as the story progresses. Every chapter develops its story more and more with a sensational thriller feeling that will leave you hungry for more.
