A fun take on Japanese mythology. If you like romance, you will like this series. It's quite heavy on it.

I liked it because even though the romance was corny a lot of the time, it always felt genuine. It was nice to see the progression in romance between the two main characters.

The art was good. Not amazing, but good.

You might get annoyed with the male lead sometimes, but he's usually fine.

The humour in this series is also pretty good. I laughed quite often.

Overall, while I wouldn't call it a masterpiece, it is definitely worth reading. If you like light-hearted romantic comedies, you'll enjoy this.

Gan-Kon is a fun series. There are cliches, sure, the plot isn't revolutionary, the art isn't breathtaking, but it was worth the pick up.

Story: 9
Fun is the word that best describes this action comedy ecchi romance. This is actually pretty difficult to achieve for manga of this type, since they usually degrade into a shitty fan-service piece or tension filled drama, losing the idea of "comedy" along the way.

It was an ok manga,I read it for the laughs and small romance.

Comedy - 8/10 - Very good, laughed a lot while reading this.

Art - 7/10 - Just ok,pretty cute but nothing that good.

Story 6/10 - First the Fighting was average, is what you would expect from this type of manga. Second the romance is fine and cute but no solid climax for the couple. Third overall story- It was good at the start and in the middle, but ruined the entire thing by the horrendous ending, that ending was just plain bad,no excuse can save it.Alot of things is unanswered.

Anyway despite the horrible ending, everything ...

tl;dr: A manga with some good concepts relating to combat and characters/relationships, but that is too messy to implement them properly.

This manga had some great concepts but it felt kind of rough. For example, the basic combat system seemed sort of interesting, with powers being based around wishes, and hence in the main characters case his power being based on love, which is cliché but a tried and true concept that works well. The thing though, is that the system never got fleshed out, but rather got replaced by a system centered around emotional damage not too far in, which is also an interesting concept, ...
