Ah magi, I resumed the manga from where the anime left off, and I really liked the anime to the point i thought I wouldn't like the manga enough, boy was i wrong, the manga was far better than i anticipated and i was enjoying it a lot until you know what i am talking about(the last arc ). Towards the end idk what happened to the mangaka but she went complete cuckoo. It's not like its THAT bad, there was thought put onto it.
But the way the manga was going up to that point was not like the last arc at all, it kinda
...
felt like a new manga, like a complete 180. It did have a semi-nice finish,i just wish the last arc wasn't so convoluted and gave all of the characters a proper ending, I wished to see so many characters in the last chapter but nothing was said about them or how are they doing in the present.
Story 6/10 : It should have been 8 but thanks to the last arc and what felt like an unfinished ending,i am gonna keep it 6.
Art 8/10: Absolutely beautiful, simple yet captivating, and my reason to read this manga in the first place.
Character 10/10 : This is so unbelievably rare for me, I nearly liked all of the characters and there are a vast amount of characters in this manga that are mostly likable, they are all (mostly) charming and full to the brim with personality. it is undoubtedly the strongest aspect of this series.
Enjoyment 9/10 : No matter the ending,no matter the mess of a final arc it has, i still enjoyed it, the adventures of alibaba and aladdin that touched many fans, i will never forget it.
Overall 8/10 : this would have been a perfect manga had it not had a rushed and confusing final part, magi would have been something greater than it already is.
Final note : I have a special place for magi, the amazing world of magi and its characters left a mark on me, I will never forget the smiles of the characters full of ambition.

It all began in 2016 when the anime was released. It is one of the few anime's that I watched weekly, you see I mostly binge shows as I don't like waiting so I never watch anime by their weekly release schedule unless it was something I really like and the rest you can already guess that this anime is really close to my heart.
I watched this anime couple of times and I enjoyed it every time.
Considering this anime ended on a cliffhanger I thought there would be a second season but alas that never came soon as I expected it would, so the wait
...
began.
After 2 years the sequel releases, and unfortunately was a big disappointment because it's not really a sequel but an ova wrapup of the second half of the manga in like 4 episodes. (The first season was the first half of the manga with 13 episodes). As my friends and people described it, the supposed sequel missed the entire point of the manga considering it was made with 4 episodes thus missing out on huge character developments which what this series is all about. With that disappointing outcome, I avoided the sequel in hopes of reading the manga and properly finishing the series I love so much, but I never could pick up the manga due to various personal problems, until now!
With the global pandemic happening now I got a chance to finish this series, and since it has been years since I last saw the first season, I decided to read the manga from scratch. And here starts my review of the manga itself
I came into it with good expectation and I was not disappointed. It fulfilled if not exceeded my expectations. Even if I knew what would happen in the first half of the manga, it still managed to give me emotions that I felt when I first watched the show for the first time.
The story, the art, the characters everything is so well done you will feel immersed with the characters and the world, it will soon start to grow on you very fast. At times I felt I could feel the character's joy or sorrow, I could feel their struggle, their emotions. The comedy was perfectly timed and was not try Harding to make you laugh, it's genuinely funny. The character development, oh my god, the character development is like top tier, all the characters fleshed out , their personality, their story completely blended with the world perfectly, it is this manga's strong point for sure. It all felt real, it all felt natural.
It is truly one of the most well-written mangas out there. With the bonus prologue and epilogue chapters released this year, finishing it truly felt like the journey has come to an end, and has been completed.
In conclusion, it is absolutely a 10/10 must-read. I feel the word has lost meaning nowadays but this truly is a masterpiece.
Thanks for reading my useless and stupid long review if you can even call it that, but this series is really close to me so I just had to write some useless stuff, my only hope is that reading this might make you read the manga, and that is all.
(Sorry if I made any mistakes as English isn't my best language, anyway if any of you have finished the manga before this year, do not miss out on the bonus chapters released this year, they are really important and you might not want to miss them as they show what happens in the future, aight bye)

It was an ok manga,I read it for the laughs and small romance.
Comedy - 8/10 - Very good, laughed a lot while reading this.
Art - 7/10 - Just ok,pretty cute but nothing that good.
Story 6/10 - First the Fighting was average, is what you would expect from this type of manga. Second the romance is fine and cute but no solid climax for the couple. Third overall story- It was good at the start and in the middle, but ruined the entire thing by the horrendous ending, that ending was just plain bad,no excuse can save it.Alot of things is unanswered.
Anyway despite the horrible ending, everything
...
was fine.

I am so glad i decided to watch the anime, The art style, the characters the story, the romance all of it drew me into the anime and made invest in the story enough to continue with the manga. The manga did everything better than the anime, The comedy in the manga is way better than anime. It was an amazing ride through this manga, with a cluster of emotions.10/10, It wrapped up so good and exceeded way beyond my expectations. I thank the author for not making this a garbage harem or give this an even trashier harem route ending. Finishing this manga made
...
me feel complete and satisfied.
10/10 manga for me.
Overall i am extremely satisfied with everything this manga had to offer, as I said, Definitely a 10/10 for me.

The anime itself is good with nice characters and light-hearted story. The comedy is top notch, The romance is just good enough. At first, I didn't want to try this thinking this is a harem (Really dislike that genre), and thought this was just gonna be a typical harem. Well even though it doesn't have a harem tag, it is indeed a pseudo-harem if you can call it that, but this does have character development. Unlike a lot of harems, the main pair is the main focus even after the other characters are introduced, in a lot of harem anime's, The main pairing/main focus which
...
the whole show is centered around is just forgotten. Also unlike other harem anime, there are not too many love interests, I mean there are quite a few but not a lot like 7-8 like the other shows.. Also, the MC's devotion to the girl he likes stays true and pursuits and will likely reject others to pursue the one who he truly loves instead of being oblivious and dense or straight out ignoring other girls. Which makes the anime worthwhile for me (for a guy who hates harem).
My only gripe with the show is the ending and some of the girl's reason for falling in love (well 1 girl really).
The ending is like many others, "Well here is the deal, we made the first season, you liked it, now you want a second season but we won't make it so you can buzz off and continue with the manga".
And the girl problem is like many harem anime, some of the reason for falling is stupid and doesn't make sense.(LOOKING AT YOU CHILDHOODFRIEND)
And this is my review and my opinion, if you don't like it, its fine really. My apologies if i compared this to harem animes too much, my hate for that genre is something that I can't help with.
(Also the manga is good and will likely wrap up the story good, I am on chp132 and it's really good so far because things are going somewhere, I suggest those of who are into the story, continue with the manga, its worth it)
