Anyone reading this is probably here because they're attracted to the manga Cover. So was I. I've read the review another person wrote, saying that this manga isn't worth reading. But I thought, 'Hey it can't be that bad!'
I was wrong. It IS that bad. The manga has an interesting concept where the people participating in the 'game' is forced to wear rings around their neck, which also functions as mic, along with an earpiece with which they can hear what the viewers of the game are saying. I've gotta say that while Bloody Junkie started off a bit fun there's really nothing special about it. It's completely and utterly your average battle royal manga.
I will admit the concept of having a bunch of people locked in a death game with only outsiders to guide them through the game did make it interesting at times but it was really just that. Nothing especially innovative was done with it, though the outsider's comments did add some humor. The characters were visually appealing (the art is decent. proportions can be wonky at times) albeit very predictable as characters. I did get attached to one or ... |
