In my opinion this is really good manga an definitely worth trying if you are looking for a light read with a little twist and cute characters!

The story is well developed and the art is good as well. The characters are cute and I like the overall story, although the characters could be developed a little bit better (you just are simply not over a wife cheating after such a short time).
But other than that you should definitely read Koishite Daddy, it is worth the time.

As a whole, the only real appeal, this story has is in how cute it is.

Stories like this mainly rely on the enjoyment you get from watching cute characters interact in a story that by all accounts is pretty mediocre. From the moment you open the book, the ending becomes as clear as All Might crashing into your room yelling "I AM HERE" but that isn't a problem. Since for the most part this story is not meant to be grand or really all that beloved like the cheap books mothers buy from supermarkets, it's just meant to give you a little break from reality, ... and a few moments to say, "aww". So to round this out the story is bland, the characters are mediocre and overall it's a big waste of time, and I love it. It has fulfilled its role as the perfect little time waster, and I recommend it.

Hello all, I am not good at writing these reviews and I usually dont consider it worth my time. But this one struck a deep nerve in me.

I picked this manga up because it was listed in the recommendations of both Himegoto Asobi and Sorenari ni Shinken Nan desu, two amazing manga in the single dad category where the dads both work hard and do everything they can to try and fight and raise their children while finding love that they dont feel they deserve.

This manga, though represented as having a "similar storyline" is nothing like that. Rather than the father being reliable and fighting ... for his child it is his neighbor that works hard and seems to be the one that cares. That part really bugged me, so if you are looking for the feel good parts you received from other manga in the genre, this one is sorely lacking.

Now, onto the objective part of the review:

Story: 4
I wanted to rank it lower than that, but I felt bad totally ripping on it. The story is very predictable and does not offer any surprises. The seme is hot and then cold and then very hot and the two bounce back and forth between very petty issues. It never really develops any solid plot. I have read oneshots that are deeper in all honesty.

Art: 7
I do say that I love the look of the uke. This mangaka has a lot of skill when drawing him, as well as the clothing. It was the best thing about the manga. She (He? I didnt look at the mangaka's name...... =.=) gets a little lazy when it comes to drawing the child though and he ends up looking like an overly "kawaii" bug at times....

Character: 3
There is really no character development at all. The seme always has one thing on his mind (if you know what I mean) and even complains about not getting that thing when his child wakes up alone in the apartment next door and starts crying for him. Again, a completely different feel from what people expect from the single father category. The uke is a little deeper development, but again he has very narrow interests. Neither of them have a very good backstory either.

Enjoyment: 3
It was an easy read but it irked me many times. It actually became hard to finish, even with all the well drawn sex sprinkled through it.

Overall: 4
I would not recommend it. If you were brought here from another manga do not get your hopes up. If you weren't, and are looking for something that is actually worth a read, please refer to the two manga that I listed above as having led me to this one. I hope I save you from wasting as much time as I did.
