They're similar in that they're both high school romance and slice-of-life manga written in an anthological style, telling short stories about a few different pairs/groups of students every chapter 

Tawawa and Otome are manga that both focus on multiple couples. The characters of the couples are all connected to each other in the same world. The chapter length of both series is shorter than a regular weekly manga which makes it refreshing to read and easy to keep up with. On top of all this they also have in common that they are ecchi manga. Otome has actual nudity before it switched magazine, meanwhile Tawawa has very impressive art that makes the lewd art and story even better. Both are great in their own way.
