That messiness was transferred over to the anime as well. For a rom-com, there was very little romance or comedy. The story hardly made sense, which comes as no surprise given that the characters were poorly written. Even the explanations for Rea's zombie characteristics and behavior were very incomplete and dismissive.

I feel like recently I've gotten used to picking a rom-com or SOL anime with a mid-7's average MAL rating that was at least okay, so seeing this one be so many levels below the next worst one I've had seen, it's a tier of disappointment and disgust I could hardly put into words.

I've noticed that you've also hated Sankarea, though by the looks of it, you read the manga while I watched the anime. I can only imagine that the man who authored it is a disgusting creep IRL.

i don't remember dealing with him at this point but while reading the series i think i subconsciously photoshopped him out of the narrative as best as i could, which would explain why i only remember ran and her really cool mother these days
