They run in the same magazine, they debuted around the same time, and there are two crossover stories by each artist (four crossovers all together). Both feature great illustrations of otherworldly creatures and things, and the protagonists have similar personalities. Both are great reads, if only for the art.

Well, they are both fantasy Shonen Jump manga where the protagonists exorcise evil spirits and ghosts and demons. And they both have similar humor scenes.

Both titles are in the same vein of "action/adventure with a horror twist" that I personally find so enjoyable. The storylines go about their business in relatively similar ways, and you get to see more creepy Japanese monsters and folklore. A fan of one series is sure to enjoy the other.

Both are shounen fantasy/adventure series that center around the supernatural. They also feature strikingly similar artwork.
