Not only are the appearances similar, but the attitudes/personalities too. [Comparing Haru to Shiou and Ren to Michiru] For example, Ren traveled overseas to Japan to see his older brother Haru (essentially living with him) while Shiou traveled to Japan to live with his older brother (Shiou) as well. Not only that, both Haru and Shiou are known to draw attention from females. ADD TO THAT, the main couple [the brothers] aren't even blood-related. With out a doubt, if you like Super Lovers you may like Nekoka Danshi no Shitsukekata. Though, there is a supernatural twist within the NDnS which makes the relationship between brothers  read more

Step Brothers, Love Triangles, older & younger characters, drama with confusions, various sub-stories and guilty feelings. If like me you enjoy all of the above, you'd love both series =)

Both mangas involve the oldest in the family taking care of his younger siblings.

Both mangas involve characters that must protect and provide for their younger brothers. In SL, the brother (who is a seme to his youngest ADOPTED brother) is a host, while the oldest brother of KnO (who is uke to his friend) is a prostitute.

Both mangas are able to develop the plot and characters with very well thought out dialogues and subtle actions, and are thus very believable. They're light shounen ai, so they are both very sweet, and it's really not all about the sex. Another thing is that Youichi, the main character of Hana wa Saku ka is strangely similar to Ren from Super Lovers. Of course Youichi is much older and thus more mature, but they have a similar curiosity and aloofness towards things... and especially towards Sakurai/Haru.

there both written by the same author, both are shonen ai, drawn with the same style. and both for me are simple masterpieces...you can say komatta toki ni wa hoshi ni kike is sort of a prequel to super lovers because mikiko (the lawyer who help ren and haru find the house and haru's mothers best friend) is actually the mother of kiyomine in kiyomine in komatta toki ni wa hoshi ni kike.

Slow burn and easy-to-love main character.

Both mangas involve a character in which they lose their memories.

The both have the theme of love between brothers, both of them have a different approach on this topic, in Anitsuu it's love from the younger while in Superlovers it's the older brother. They are both mangas full of comedy, drama, and small amounts of tragedy at the start.

same brother complex plot line. Super lovers is longer though. Loved both of them!

it's both about an older who is (lolicon) loving the younger related by blood. even though, in Super Lovers the younger stays cute, while in Mayonaka no Oyatsu doesn't

it's an incest between unrelated-by-blood-brothers

Both of these stories include older siblings that aren't related to the younger sibling and are attracted to them and have huge complexes. Only difference is in SL it is boy on boy and in SF it is guy and girl.

Both have slow paced romances with a one-sided love developing over time. In my opinion SL is much, much slowly in the romance department and still on-going, where HjN is wrapped up nicely and short. I feel the art and themes of dialogue are similar and at times made me 'awe' over the panels.

Both series have to do with some type of romance between "brothers" while also touching on the subject of family. The two share a psychological storyline but Brother x Brother is a little bit more intense. The two have great art as well.

Both involve one of the characters going to live with the other. They also have the same kind of relationship with each other, but while in Super Lovers it's with his stepbrother, in Bokura no Oukoku it's with his cousin. They also both have the same carefree feel with a bit of comedy, and the relationships don't feel forced at all. The art of both is also very pretty - although I think Super Lovers wins in that category. If you enjoyed one of them, you'll definitively enjoy the other - I know I did!
