What starts as an edgy flip on the magical girl genre, becomes a heartfelt tale about the strenuous lifestyle of a superhero and the realization of that from the perspective of a young fangirl. This story gets straight to the point, but still offers downtime to enjoy and empathize with its two main characters and their dynamic. With great art and a interesting diversion from the norm, Pretty Guardian Stress may leave you wishing it was longer than just a one-shot. What a whacky story we got here. NGL, I'm not expecting the ending there. Well, it was somewhat predictable but I thought it would go a different direction.

Anyway tho, I'm just going to say it's a very well-paced one-shot with a very interesting story.
Idk if any other manga has this plot other than Magilumiere, but seeing more and more "magical girls is for work" settings is kind of fresh, I think.
