I was finished reading this manga on MangaPlus and want to review it. Upon seeing the review page it only has 1 review. So, here is another one from me.
I want to start with the story/plot. I actually really like the concept of the story and, once again, my same question from the review of The Legendary Hero is Dead, have you seen many fantasy story that is not an isekai? Well, this is one of the few. I love how straight it was from the start. The premise, the goal, and everything. But I have a little complaint to say about this. You see,
...
I said I love the story/plot of this manga right? But the story is centric towards 1 person and him only. That person was the Demon Lord, Rhoda. No matter how much you read it, it is always Rhoda and his story only, other than him is just plot-driven to make the story go forward. Even the main party is just there to be there. The other person that I think probably considers a not-story-driven character is Atty.
Ok, with that out of the way let's move on to characters. I briefly talked about it previously that other than Rhoda and Atty, the other characters are just story-driven characters. Let me get that straight. If you read it through, you can clearly see that everyone except Rhoda and Atty, only has one thing in for their character, and others are just there to give direction. I don't want to spoil anything so, I encourage you to read it yourself. But I have to say even tho this is kind of a problem, as long as the story is interesting, the side/out-of-the-topic character characteristic is not a big deal.
Even if the story or characters are not really great, I would probably still read this because of the art style alone. If you have seen my past review of Rengoku no Karma, I binge-read that from start to finish due to the art alone and I give that series a 4.5/10. I hate that story and characters but I still like the art so, the same can be said here. I love the art style and it is worth looking at.
Last but not least the proportion of the manga panel. This is just nit-picking, but I saw there is one page where the text bubbles and the panel don't really match and I got really confused as to why that happened. Again I'm not going to spoil but there is that and there is also a page where it's just white all the way but only 3 rectangles. I guess I get it it wants to portray that they changing places or changing our perspective on the other side of the world but why they're in the white space? Couldn't you put it on the drawn panel?
Again, this is just a nit-picking. Other than those two little details, I'm fine with the other.
Overall, I give this 8.8/10. Solid manga, recommended to people who like Adventure Comedy.

I originally wanted to watch this as it aired because Masayoshi Ooishi, my oshi, doing the intro but time was not in my hand. But alas, I've finally finished it. And to tell you the honest truth, I love this. Sure it's not the best but tell me, how many stories that exist are like this? It's not an isekai and it's a straight-up fantasy.
We kick things off with VA. Spoiler alert, I'm about to reveal a core plot here, so if you don't want any spoiler you can skip this part. But before that, I want to tell you I enjoy these VAs, man.
...
They absolutely nailed the voice, especially Touka. Man, I never thought this guy would be my fav character in the show. Like seriously his voice is so unique. Do you want to know why?
(Spoiler)
In the very first episode, Toki Shunichi, the voice actor for both Touka and The Hero Sion, is really talented. You can even hear his voice like it is a completely different person and only that is what makes it even more amazing in episode 6 when Touka has to possess his best friend, Yuna, the voice actor for her, Hibiki Yamamura, mimicking the style of speaking for Touka. Isn't that insane? She literally changed the way she speaks. This character Touka literally the one that makes this happen. I am in love with that fact. Can we give a round of applause for these VAs? They deserve to be recognized.
(Spoiler end)
Anyway, let's move on to the Plot/Story. As a fantasy story, I quite like how they went around doing it. I mean killing the OP character straight away in episode 1 is like so bolt of a move and I don't think any story has done that. So kudos to you Subaruichi, I am really impressed by how original that concept was. And the plot moving forward is really a cluster of emotions. In the beginning, we were like, haha funny ecchi thigh guy becoming a hero and never going to be one. Then when it hit us almost half of the series we were like, OMG DON'T DIE TOUKA, YOU CAN DO IT. KILL THOSE DEMON BASTARD. Remind me so much of Cautious Hero and I do like that plot.
Moving on to OST. But at this point, why do I need to review this section? You already read the first paragraph, I'm here because of Ooishi and like always, my man nailed it. I love the OP so much. SHINDAAAAAA! But for the ED not so much but still good.
Other than that, the OST on the episodes itself is actually bopping. Like I always said in a couple of previous reviews I did, as long the OST and the animation flow good, I'm giving them a thumbs up.
Now let's talk about characters. TBH, if Touka didn't have any weird fetish, I felt like it would be better but the thing is, just like Naruto's fight against Kaguya, Touka uses that fetish to his advantage to fight against the necromancers and demons. And also, believe it or not, that fetish is also the plot for his and Yuna's character development. That right there when you know you write a divine piece of the story. Turn fetish for the plot story.
Last but not least, the animation. I'm not really too keen on Lidenfilms but I do know some of their works. I felt the animation could be a little better but I can't really say it's bad. It's basically bear to watch. Not too bad and not too good. It's the average animation on nowadays standard.
Overall, I enjoy my time watching this. I give this 7.5/10

I have reviewed the series so, I'm just going to jump straight to the review.
The only thing that I want to talk about in this particular OVA is the story. But before that, I want to praise how great of a series this is. They make each arc unique, both OP and ED were different on each arc, it's so cool. Anyway, let's get into the main review.
Again I brought this up. The character development here, especially here is very centric and distinct. This is a growth toward Iori. Throughout these episodes, everyone doesn't really grow as much as Iori, and what they are is
...
the plot device for Iori to grow. Again, not really a problem but just really ashamed that each arc is so distinct from the others and feels like a different alternative story.
Anyway, this is still a great series if you want to get on with it. I give this same as the main series 8.6.

Decided to re-watch this masterpiece again. And, oh boy, it aged like a fine wine. The story is still attached to me to this day. An emotion of rollercoaster this was—a good one.
Let's start this review off with the animation. I am actually impressed with how well the animation is. I thought it would age poorly but no. For an anime that is 12 years old by now, it still looks gorgeous. Even more fluent than some of the newer anime.
Then the OST. I remember being so into it. The soundtrack is just phenomenal. Even when I listen to it again, it's just too good.
...
Ah, the nostalgia is kickin' in with this one.
Story-wise. I actually have a problem. Well, a minor problem. You see this is the only series that in every arc, it's disconnected apart. What I meant by that is every problem/phenomenon of the arc is very distinct from each other and makes some character development feel harsh. In the first arc, Taichi is the one who gets character development, the second arc is Inaba, and the third/final arc is Yui and a bit of Aoki. Do you see the problem here? The author pushed hard on one character's development so that other characters become supporting characters in certain arcs. Which in my opinion is fine, but it doesn't feel like they grow together. You can feel it more in the OVA.
And also, when I searched it up on the internet, people said both the show and OVA combined only cover the first 4 volumes of the Light Novel, which contained 11 volumes. So yeah, I guess I need to continue it via BookWalker. Thankfully they got the series in there.
Finally the VA. I love their voice, man. Really insanely good how they acted, especially the Fuuzenkazura/Heartseed. Boy, both Keiji and Aki did a great job of making the Heartseed sound ominous. If I have it I would give them 4 thumbs up for that.
Overall, very happy I revisited this series. Shoutout to Kito-senpai on YouTube for reminding me of this beautiful masterpiece. I gave it 8.6.

From curiosity, because Bookwalker has this manga on discount sale, to checked out the rating on MAL, and finally saw that this manga has anime, and also an announcement about the 2nd season, then speedrunning the 1st season. Yeah, I'm addicted. What? I'm just a mere man, I have fun consuming this media ok. Don't judge me.
First, let's talk about the story. I know some of you might have the judge's eyes and say, "You just want to watch an H, right?", and to that, I say, maybe? But at the same time, the things that happen do not really go to a very yabai
...
territory. I know the reward thing is like the most unnecessary thing, but to me, this is just to make things not too intense. I get that it's not for everybody so, it's okay if you don't like it. You can just move on. But other than that one bit, I actually invested in the story. Really intriguing so far especially because like I said in the 1st paragraph I read the manga 1st and I already read ahead a bit after the portion that the anime has animated. I can see the 2nd season being more fun to wait for.
Animation-wise, it's feels ok. I don't see a lot of complaints about the 3D because it is not really bad and I thought it's actually pretty good. But then again, it's not top-tier animation because it's Seven Arc, the only anime that I have watched from this studio is Dog Days and that series is not bad but also not top-tier.
OST is a slap. I love both the OP and ED of this anime. The ED especially. It's just one of those music that I like to listen to while I'm walking in the park. As for the OST in the anime itself, it's also great. Like I said in a lot of my previous reviews, if the animation and music go well together, I instantly give it 2 thumbs up.
I can't handle the VA. Since this anime is heavy on female characters, I feel like living in heaven. LOL. I mean I can't argue how they handle female characters in this, it's just top-notch, especially Tenka. BOOOOY I love her voice so much. Good job, Maaya Uchida-san, you are doing God's work. I fall in love with her even more because of your performance as her.
Bonus section;
- What they did with Nei at the end of every episode is so cool. I wish a lot of anime did this it's a very good way to showcase more of the power scaling of the characters in the show and I appreciate that.
- I still can't believe 2 of the names in this series. Shushu Suruga and Naon Yuno. Do you understand what these names sound like in Indonesia? First is Shushu Suruga, it's sounds like "susu surga", which means Heaven's milk. And it's very accurate with her power which manipulates her size to small or big. Not to mention they animated her transformation like Ultraman transformation, it's so cringy and that makes it really good. LOL. Thank goodness they didn't name her Shushu Surugawi, which means Holy Heaven's milk. As for Naon Yuno, that's a Javanese word. Naon means what and Yuno means teenager. If it's combined, that would mean, "What is it, teenager?" Yeah weird right? Lol. It's going to be really weird when you talk to some Indonesian and your name is this.
Overall I like this series a lot, it's just a fun watch. Can't wait for the 2nd season. I give this 1st season 8.4/10.

Was not expecting to enjoy this OVA as much as I thought. I'll be skipping this review to just the story/plot because most of them literally the same.
1st episode is about Hana and Kabakura's high school story. (7/10)
It's a very sweet one-off episode that makes the record straight of how these two become lovers together. Not really a very pleasing approach (because the episode did it as a flashback) but also it's good enough to understand a bit of their characters. But overall a good episode.
2nd episode is about Naoya and Kou's relationship goals. (9/10)
Oh boy, oh boy. What do we have here? Remember my
...
review on the main story in which I said why tf they cut Naoya and Kou's moment short? I can see you A1. I see what you did there. You cut them short to blast on that moment in this episode. I'm in love with them and it's very good to see them getting along. And also, a very cool ED. I did not expect Nifuji and Momose to sing the ED for this episode, very cool.
And the final episode is about a work trip. (8/10)
This is a nice story of Nifuji getting along with his coworkers. A very concise yet very good little episode to wrap up the OVA.
I can go on and on to say this is a comfort show. You want to enjoy life? Then watch this.
Overall this got a solid 8/10 from me.

Alright, let's talk about this season. Starting off, wtf with the random force interaction? Man, I can't believe that literally almost every episode in this season just puts Nariyuki in the most random occupation possible and forces him to interact with all of the girls. Like I almost dropped this season just because of that. Like seriously wtf? Luckily the last few episodes, which is the festival arc, got me hooked to watch it again till the end.
We'll skip the characters and VA performance review. It's the same comment I have back in season 1. None has been changed.
Instead, we'll start with the story/plot. I
...
am SO F*CKING disgusted with how messy this season is, it's not funny. I swear if it's not for the last few episodes I actually dropped this season. Also, I'm so glad that I watched this season way later than it aired time. I was frustrated when I was watching it especially, again, with the clerk. Like seriously, can we throw her into the ocean? Why is she there to force a scenario? I hate her. HATE HER SO MUCH. STOP MAKING THE SITUATION SO FORCE. And I also can't fathom how much Nariyuki had to see his teacher in her underwear. Yeah, that is literally what his teacher is all about, Kirisu sensei is nothing but a sleeping beauty (because Nariyuki has to carry her multiple times), scenario-driven (because she got naked "unintentionally" multiple times), and a good teacher in little to no screen time of the show. This is the most hated section in my review so let's just move on. I don't want to talk about it anymore.
Despite the story is not very good, the OST, however, is great. Although both OP and ED in this season don't have quite the impact they did on season 1 for me. But no, I quite enjoy the OST.
Animation jumped up a notch. I might be hallucinating but damn, this season, again, despite the worse story ever, has a very stunning animation through and through. I love the animation. I don't really like the music on OP and I like the ED a bit more, but the animation tho. I like it both. Both are unique, even though it's not really stunning to look, like the 1st season OP but they kept using the same animation that they did on the ED like the first one which is very good.
Overall because of the story, I had to go lower than 6. Sorry, I just can't man. I can't with the force scenario. It's 5.6/10.

Before I started this review, I actually watched this series back in 2019 when it began airing because people kept saying it's "better" than TQQ. Well, to my pleasant surprise, it was decent. I quite like the show but not same level as TQQ and to top it all off, this is RomCom, not DraRom, like TQQ.
The story is just plain but quite funny. I enjoy every character interaction in the series it's your typical RomCom and it's done just enough to make your day great. To say this is better than TQQ is just a delusion. TQQ tackled a quintuple situation and they nailed
...
it so much but WNL is more like let's group up 5 female characters into this one man. Basically, it's your typical Harem but with a TQQ story setting, in which the MC is a tutor.
OST is very good. Like I said with all of the reviews I've done, if the music and animation goes on well I'm going to like it nonetheless. I like the theme song especially. Both OP and ED are so memorable.
The animation is god-like. The OP animation is breathtaking, the ED animation is so unique, and the show itself has a very decent animation. It's like a match made in heaven, it's very balanced.
The characters in this series are just perfect unless we're talking about one of the characters like the clerk, Nariyuki's mom's boss. I'm in love with all of the characters here. I might've watched a few harem anime but boy I never thought that each, at least the main, girls had right-wing women. Like, dear lord, that was so cute.
And also don't forget about the performance of the VA. All of them did a fantastic job, especially Nariyuki's siblings. Man, I can't get enough of how cute the three of them are.
Overall, a very fun watch unless we're talking about the sequel. I'll be talking about that on the page but this season alone I give it 6.9/10. The funny number.

So, yeah. If you look at my recent review, I have reviewed this adaptation. I scored 8.5 (1st season) and 9 (2nd season) because yes, it's that good. But come to your surprise this manga is also good. No, it's a masterpiece. I hated myself to read this continuously for 2 days straight and left wanting more.
(Warning HEAVY SPOILER AHEAD)
Man, after the anime ended, it was full of drama and it's so engaging to read. I can't tell you how much I fell in love with Rika in the aftermath of the anime. It becomes my top 2 girl after Shino. Her battle to be
...
Naoya number 1 is just so exciting to read. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the other girls' arcs aren't exciting to read, it's just that Rika is the most fun. Let me explain;
- Shino with her learning skills gives herself a podium at the center of Naoya's sight after the anime ended because of his challenge to his parents; When Naoya's parents find out that their son is two-timing with Saki and Nagisa, he asks them to give him time until their next exam. He asked his parents if it was okay he was two-timing Saki and Nagisa, and he dared himself to be the top of his class to get approval from his parents. Throughout this time Shino has already expressed her feelings and kissed Naoya so she is lending her power to make sure Naoya gets his parents' approval. And well, they did it. Naoya and Shino got top 1. I know the reason he getting top 1 is because Nagisa kissed before their first exam but his effort with Shino was also not wasted.
- After the Anime, Nagisa is the only girl who has not yet informed her parents about her relationship with Naoya. You might realize I said Nagisa the only girl yet Shino also hasn't done that in the anime. Well, folks they skipped that part. In the last episode of the 2nd season, there was supposed to be a scene where Shino's mom came to the room where she was treated but that got cut. So, instead only Naoya and the others who come to the room. In the end, it's only Nagisa who hasn't told her parents. And man, what a rollercoaster of emotion that was but I'm glad both her mom and Naoya can talk it out. And that also boosted her motivation to be a professional chef.
- Saki is very much just herself throughout the manga. Her arc after the anime is just devastated, I can see why she buried her feelings about the whole two-timing. She secured 1st place in Naoya's heart because Naoya always kept his eyes on her since elementary school. And when it stroked her that she actually hurt from the whole two-timing that's when she thought she should've accepted Naoya's feeling from a long time ago. Why is devastated it's because not Saki herself that told this kind of feeling to Naoya but it was Rika. Throughout the series, Rika always wants to monopolize Naoya for herself because she knows if she gets two-timed she is not gonna be number 1 in Naoya's eyes. Naoya becomes self-aware of his greediness of wanting to two-timing Saki and Nagisa is hurting all of the girls who love him. But I'm happy in the end, Saki accepted the two-timing and even added Shino to be the third girl for Naoya. And oh boy, Shino is thirsty for that kiss. The plus side to this because Saki is actually a bi, she can also become a lover for Nagisa and Shino. So, yeah, it's a win-win.
- Throughout the series, I saw Rika as a joke character. Getting rejected a million times, drugged Naoya, and even kidnapped him. She is that girl that you can't see as serious because she is not meant to be. And yet here it is at her arc called the final battle arc, where she pushed herself to the limit and actually makes me like her. After her explanation of Saki's feelings to Naoya, he gets Rika's true feelings. Why she is so persistent in monopolizing him, why does she not like to get two-timed, or why does she want Naoya to see herself only? It's because it hurts her. Now I know people probably see her effort is so weird, becoming a popular streamer and trying to make Naoya impress by her effort. Like, that's not really a good impression for Naoya but she did it anyway because that's her talent. Yes, that is a questionable thing but this is who she really is. She is a star, a shining star. She wants the world to acknowledge her and she did it. She got 1 million subs in less than a week and that's the reward for her effort. That effort will be her proud moment because that channel wouldn't be where it is because of her effort AND Naoya's help when her dad wants to delete it. Yes, that's why she used this tactic. She wants to express how precious something the Naoya protected for her. She used it for him, not herself.
(End of spoiler)
I can't express how much I love this story. A long rom-com series like this rarely gets me invested and yet here lies my newfound guilty pleasure. The other aspects like the proportion of text bubbles and the art style are very good which also makes it enjoyable to read.
I give this series 9.1/10, just below TQQ (9.3).

I'm just gonna straight to the point because I just finished my review for the first season a moment ago.
I noticed this for the second time now, first with TQQ and now this. The animation production is thrown to another company. The quality doesn't drop though, heck, I would say this is better (I mean it's SynergySP, I know they will nail it), but I just want to know, why. Why give it to another studio if you can do it? You know? It's weird.
But anyway, animation aside, OST is still the same quality. I didn't notice any drop. I'd say this season OST evaluated
...
and became 100% better, especially in Shino's arc.
The character and plot are the same. But when they introduce Shino, I say they went hard on her arc. Like omg, I can see why people like Shino so much. Her arc is becoming one of my favorite arcs in anime history because it's one of the most wholesome stories of all RomCom ever created. Even beating Yotsuba from TQQ (Yes I know, the series is Drama Romance but you can't lie that Yotsuba arc also has the same impact as this one)
Overall I rate this 9/10. They went beyond with this one and I appreciate their effort. I don't know if they'll continue the series because I heard the manga is finished and the anime is still a long way to go. If they ever do another season, I'm here for it. In the meantime, I gonna read the manga.
