Okay, you caught me. I’m a huge sucker for these type of romance stories, where the fmc is the one on the advance, not the mc. Yes, this manga is a bit tropey with the classic hierarchy difference between the mc and fmc, but it does differ by its approach. Instead of the story being full of convoluted drama, this manga takes a high comedic and cute route where you can’t help but to smile.
The plot and characters gives off a very similar, nostalgic feeling, but it’s somehow really refreshing due to the fmc. Yes, she’s a bit of a dunce, but that’s the
...
entire charm of this manga. Her obsessive personality balanced with the mc’s ability to be an absolute chick-magnet makes for some of the most fun sequences and reactions in a romance manga.
Honestly, the only thing holding this manga back is the mc — yes, he has showed glimpses of self-awareness, but if he’s still acting like an oblivious mc, it gives off the same tone as any other mc with the same concept.
Also, this is just chapter 2 as I’m writing this, so who knows, maybe it becomes one forced drama that yet agains highlights the difference in class, separating their relationship, blah, blah, blah. It’ll probably happen, but at the moment it’s really cute and funny.
