If you're looking for some detective fiction, then Death Note and Shinrei Takumo may be something to consider. Both series adapts a main character who has unnatural talents and a special gift. There is a decent amount of mystery and suspense with thrilling plot twists in both series. And at its core, we find out how twisted their story can become when certain events are connected.

Shinrei Tantei Yakumo and Ghost hunt are actually pretty similar, The main two characters, a boy and a girl go out solving cases which involes ghost. Both Stories are Great and I recommend you to read them both!

They both involve solving cases using special powers, in Usotoki Rhetoric the female lead can hear lies, in Shirei Tantei Yakumo the male lead can see ghosts. other than solving cases the manga also concentrates on the troubles these special abilities has caused the characters that possess them. Usotoki Rhetoric is a periodic manga and is a bit more light hearted than Shinrei Tantei Yakumo.

Taking place in a modern world setting, both series adapts mystery fiction revolving around detective work. The main male protagonist has contrasting personalities but similar motivations when it comes to solving problems. They team up with other investigators in both series to tackle on difficult cases. Both series also revolves a bit around interpersonal relationships as we find out more about the main characters. Shinrei Tantei Yakumo is more noticeable for its supernatural elements while Ouroboros has more comedy. Recommended for fans of mystery fiction.

Honey Bitter and Shinrei Tantei Yakumo revolves around mystery and a main protagonist with a special gift. Throughout both series, there is a dark story that is told from the backgrounds and origins of the premise. Both series adapts mystery with startling revelations and mature themes. There is also romance present (more so in Honey Bitter) that explores human relationships.

Both have major characters who have unique eyes (or a single eye) that enable them to see supernatural creatures (ghosts in STY and fairies in HTY). They solve mysteries related to these creatures. Both have romantic elements (more subdued and relaxed in STY) and, like most detective type stories, they move from case to case.

Both male protagonists are able to see spirits and communicate with them in order to solve crimes.

Both manga center around protagonists that deal with otherworldly beings. Yakumo (Shinrei Tantei Yakumo) dealing with ghosts, and Kotoko (Kyokou Suiri) dealing with yokai. They both have trusty assistants, Yakuma's being Haruka and Kotoko's being Kurou. These protagonists are the only ones who can deal with these phenomenons and come up with ingenious plans to do so often using chapters with lengthy dialogue explaining them. Additionally, both main protagonists have two different eyes. Basically, both are awesome manga, so read them both.

Both have people with psychic powers aiding police officers to solve hardcore crimes. In particular, both of these series have very interesting and complex criminal investigations and a hint of romance.

Both series are no stranger to mysteries phenomenons. While their premise are different, they have a similar set of principles that follows serial suspense with a thriller-like feeling. The main characters also becomes part of a series of twists that connects past and present events. While both of them appeals a bit to the horror genre as well, Shinrei Tantei Yakumo is also known for some supernatural elements. Recommended for fans of mystery fiction.
