Both stories are set in a school environment and have as their main theme the encounter of students with supernatural forces that fulfill the characters' wishes but with a price that may be too high. Also, both have a ghostly female protagonist with dubious intentions who serves as a guide throughout the many stories presented.

Both series are made up of short horror stories in each chapter. They consist of supernatural stories, urban legends, stories of how twisted and dark humanity could become.

Manga: Ningyou Saisei Koujou
In both mangas, someone tells a tale of something that happens (in Zekkypu Gakkyou a girl named Yomi tells tales in which people have done things to lead to their misfortune, whereas in Ningyou Saisei Koujou it's a salesperson who sells things at a price; also leads to their misfortune). Both end in tragedy (well, Zekkyou Gakkyou has more than one story; most end in tragedy). However, Zekkyou Gakkyou is ongoing and Ningyou Saisei Koujou is just a oneshot.

essentially the same but with more of a focus on students and school legends and myths and what one might believe when we were around the age of 13

Manga: Kiben Gakuha, Yotsuya-senpai no Kaidan.
Both contain multiple horror stories with morale. Both have good suspense. Yotsuya-senpai may be considered mystery as well.
