both manga revolve around water, have some mystery/fantasy and are short reads

Both being made by the same mangaka, is extensively based on rural japan. Similarly like Mushishi, a lot of focus is given on myths and the lives of the people affected by it. If you're looking to experience the same kind of heavenly feeling, this should be up your alley.

In aqua scribis... aquatic folk themes and young girls facing everyday problems. Pretty much the same lenght and volume.

Both are stories about girls who meets boys in a little village in the countryside with fantastic elements. They're very similar and both are really good.

Astoundingly heartfelt pieces about generational memory in families connected to a particular place marked by disaster. Long memory, quiet mysticalness, little bits of beauty and home persisting through all things. Sober, joyful, both works pay respect to loss and love and life in a way that jumps out at you and draws you in. The smell of rain and dust and sunlight.

Both are great drama and slice of life that get really emotionnal (for the anime of Haibane more than the manga though). They are very simple but suceed to bring emotions to the reader.

Both manga slice of life and involve sea/water genres. Though Amanchu is more into comedy and suiiki more into drama.

The main character travels back in time and learns about family history. There is a similar tone about reflection on the way things used to be in Japan.

A down-to-earth drama with a very similiar melancholic atmosphere and both with interesting characters.
