I think this one is a must read.
First about the story, While I found these manga to be a bunch of mixed bags cause they mostly bank on reader's sympathy rather than the actual plot, but the reason I recommended reading this one, because this one for sure doesn't slack out on the story department. Despite the story expanding in on only a few plot points, it does so beautifully. The story building was decent, the journey to cure the girl felt realistic to an extent. Not for the light-hearted.
Just by the title alone you already know what kind of story is going to be and really there´s only two types of endings with mangas of this genre, either it ends horribly or really well. The story/plot is okay for the type of story that it is, since it´s a short story each chapter is only a page long with the exception of the last 5 chapters. Like "DinoNo1" (in the other review) said, the story heavily relies on the readers sympathy, however the lack of story is more than made up with the character development by the two leads. The story is unique in its own way. the art is stunning But it is a wasted potential.
What I felt like while reading this was just wholesomeness and it definitely worth the time to read it. If you want a short, well written story this is for you. But I believe it needed more time. The relation between the characters are good enough but they could have been way more better if the Author had more time expanding the events. It feels like skipping all side quests and straight up finishing the main quest in a video game. If I'm reading something and the story skips months in timeline ... |
