Story is only 13 chapters in so far, but shadow eliminators has got a solid foundation. as of rn, i recommend it, it's good fun
pros: fantastic art, the colors first page of the first chapter is so pretty, including the character designs and fight scenes. I am a big fan of the high-octane super stylized approach in this manga that reminds me a bit of kubo. the characters are fun and memorable and the plot is moving at a good pace.
cons: this is a basic shounen with nothing too subversive or deep. it's sometimes really cliche and its nothing you havent read before.

and on top of that the mc is clearly a reader self-insert. he's possessed by a spirit thing (but like a good controllable one), does ninja training under a waterfall in the mountains, he's strong, confident, decent looking, and has no character flaws. This is my biggest issue with the manga. the mc has made no mistakes (except maybe being a little lazy like once) and has no obvious character flaws at 5 volumes in. I think the mangaka wants to leave the mc's background a mystery to add shock value later, but because he's perfect and i don't know anything about him, i don't know why he fights, what he fights for, or why i should care. because he's already perfect, there's no way for him to improve except to get physically stronger.
TLDR good basic shounen. it's fun with good characters and fight scenes and good pacing. it's nothing you havent read before. its not subversive or deep, so don't expect any of that, and the mc is just a reader self insert so he's a perfect, mystery character with no character flaws and no way for him to grow or improve within the story. if you like dumb fun shounen, this is for you. I'm hoping the characterization improves as the story goes on.
