Pandora Hearts involves contracts with chains; Undertaker Riddle involves contracts with undertakers. Both feature cute shota looking main characters.

Both stories are about a high school boy as the main character who meets a suspicious, long-haired, hat-and-trench-coat-wearing man. Said man demands help with dealing with fighting supernatural opponents.

Grell and Riddle are both undertakers/shinigami and their personalities are also a lot alike. Brad and Sebby are both workaholics. Undertaker Riddle makes a contract an funny immature 17 year old school boy instead of a brat (and i mean that in the nicest way possible). But the conditions of the contract are different and the plot as a whole are different. Their clothing style for the characters are similar.

Each is about a boy who is killed. He is given some difficulties by a supernatural being (the Undertaker or Shinigami), who later saves his life....but in exchange, he must work for them. Have a similar, slightly over-the-top style.

Both main characters have a hidden special power or ability that others desire. Also the main characters are quite alike in appearance and personality.

Not the same in story line but both are just shounen ai (for people who just love boy pairing but not into yaoi with H scenes). Both got pretty good hunkies among the characters.

The premise and atmosphere is very similar. Both manga have an innocent, helpless protagonist, making a deal with a supernatural creature/creatures that capture spirits and send them to the afterlife.

"Undertaker Riddle" and "Dusk Howler" are beautiful shounen stories with BL subtext and lots of bishounens where an eccentric and mysterious male character with long blond hair suddenly appeared in the life of a cute and naive male character with short dark hair and dragged him into a series of some supernatural events. The main characters in "Undertaker Riddle" are a shinigami Riddle and a high school student Hayato who together serve as shinigami in the real world because Hayato has a special ability that draws ghosts to him, while the main characters in "Dusk Howler" are a top player Nine (undead and necromancer) and a  read more

These shounen-ai stories have similar atmospheres though one's about vampires and the other about supernatural undertakers - a type of shinigami. In both of these shounen-ai stories the love interest is somewhat cold and secretive and forces the somewhat pathetic hero into a partnership for his own selfish reasons. Both partnerships are co-dependent.

You can pretty much see the similarities in the first chapter. Both main characters experience out of the ordinary things (ordinary in their lives, that is, since both characters were pretty messed up to begin with anyways...) after meeting with their contractor- which is another thing similar, by the way. They are suddenly put in the spot where they have to hold a contract with the doll/undertaker. Both seals for the contracts is a rose ring.

Similar plots between the two. Both of the main characters are high school students being tailed by spirits, thus compelling them to seek help from a strange higher source. Watanuki becomes obligated to work with Yuuko in order for his wish to be rid of the tailing spirits be fulfilled. The theme also mirrors the plot relationship between Hayato and the Undertaker. Both Yuuko and Riddle are eccentric characters who emit an aura of mystery and wisdom into the pages. Xxxholic is, however, much more complex than Undertaker Riddle.

Both of these are about a young main character who (to his annoyance and everyone else’s pleasure) is surrounded by creepily unemotional, clingy men. Very campy, really, and for people who enjoy suggestiveness every couple of pages. Both series have a lot of fight scenes, special abilities, and a sort of “secret“ organization.

Main characters look similar in appearance and personality. Drawings and stories both nice.

Similar pairing system with deep friendships, and a similar goal. Maybe Uraboku is a little bit softer / shojo-ish :)

Both seem pretty similar, each one has a pairing of 2 for fights, each having their own rolls, both are shounen-ai, they are both awesome!
