Caught up after a few hours, frankly, this is a good series.
There aren't many Manhwa's that feature an MC-themed Yokai so I appreciate that amid Isekai tricks and tropes.
The whole story centers around the dude trying to become stronger as he's thrown between both worlds of Human and Yokai.
That's the whole story, the action is fine, the characters are great, and it's...steady.
Sadly there is one flaw of this series that cannot be ignored:
EXCESSIVE DIALOGUE
This manhwa alone has tremendously more dialogue/conversations/text/talking than almost every single manhwa out there. I don't have an issue with long texts in general, but the way it's used here is not
...
correct. A large amount of the talks here could have been cut down or simplified without taking up tons of space on many pages. It's gotten to the point where it's interfering with the story and spacing out fights while disrupting the intensity.
There is a Chinese Manhua not related to this in the theme of cultivation that has solid paragraphs in every single chapter. At least in that series, each text portion is well-positioned and matches the flow of the story. You don't GET bored at all, but sadly here you do very easily.
Gotta be real with everyone, you aren't missing anything if you choose not to read this series. If you however choose to pick this series up.... I hope you are ready to read for a long time.
