Both in the kabuki world. Beautiful pictures. Both strong female characters. Akaki Tsuki is more of a mystery/romance/supernatural but Pin to Kona is the drama/romance/comedy behind the scenes of the kabuki world.

This is a story about the stage of Japanese traditional performing arts. Pintokona" is a Kabuki play, and "Hana yori mo Hana no Gotoku" is a Noh play. In both stories, the male protagonist is a member of the performer's family. Pintokona" has a stronger romantic element than "Hana yori Hana no Gotoku". There are also explanations about the stories and the stage, giving the audience a taste of Japanese culture.

Both girls have a love interest who is a kabuki actor. In Kageki Shoujo, since she couldn't enter the kabuki world she's entered the flower troupe world instead. In Pin to Kona, she is attending normal high school and is caught up in a kabuki love triangle.

Both manga are ostensibly about the kabuki world of inheriting titles, but Kunisaki is a comedy and Pin to Kona plays things a little more dramatic, but still romcom.

These are both shoujo kabuki romance manga.

They both have something to do with the ancient japanese arts. The male lead from Pin to Kona is a kabuki actor while the protagonist from Koi, Hirari is a traditional dancer.
