If I ever have a son, I'd want 'Nick & Lever' to be his babysitters. Worst case scenario, I'd like them to give him a weekly session of their infinite wisdom and visionary life outlook.
By the time he becomes an adult, my son would've either become a human being who's reached galaxy-levels of masculinity...or he'd have electrocuted himself with a toaster at the age of 10 (while his spirit still haunts the mortal realm much like Nick and Lever do in some chapters). This series knows exactly what it wants to be, and does a perfect job of being that. The series is incredibly funny, and it uses manga as a medium to create bits that can't be done in any other format. My favorite bit is probably when they take a shortcut over the gap between panels to get to work on time. Continuity is also a surprisingly important part of the series. Some bits are promptly discarded, but many others keep coming back and reward you for your attention to detail. The finale is a payoff of things that came before it in a way
