This was such a fun manhwa I feel kind of offended that it's not that popular.

I didn't really have much expectations entering Let's Get Divorced! because I read this manhwa for one thing and one thing only: I am an absolute sucker for pretend-couple tropes. What better way to convey that than literally committing marriage fraud for a green card?

This story is not perfect- there are times that the characters can be inconsistent, and the main arc has been stretched out for far too long, in my opinion. I rather the author expanded on the side characters, who, despite appearing only for a few chapters- ... were really interesting and funny, rather than going on and on about the unlikely but not surprising antagonist.

Still, I could easily forgive all of that because this story was actually very fun! Baekhui, our protagonist (and whose point of view we get to see the most of) is absolutely hilarious and relatable. Her antics, while mostly bizarre and without a doubt embarrassing, never fail to crack me up to tears. Her love interest, Han-gyeol, is charming enough. I do wish we get to see him in a more vulnerable light but the author did make him cry several times and if there's anything I like in my male leads, it's absolute tears of hopelessness- so that's enough for me, I guess.

As I said earlier, the side characters were very interesting. I kind of wish we got more of them instead of the main plot getting stretched to tatters. There were two side-couples here that has very interesting dynamics, as well as three supporting characters that were very fun to read. It kind of felt rushed towards the end, I wouldn't have minded a couple of side stories to really finish things off.

Still, this is the rom-com we've all been looking for. It's romantic and absolutely hilarious- finding the right balance between the two genres. It may not be perfect but aren't we all?
