Resume: pretty good sequence from kiichi!! Now addressing more the political side from the first part, but i can not help me to find it kinda disappointed. In the end, you can say that kiichi is about the same thing that code geass, but changing mechas with cow meat problems and changing the world to getting laid and regretting choices that lead him to die.
Kiichi and kai are the protagonist, kiichi who starts the story believing that he can make the world fair and help the wronged by the system, kai is a much more interesting character for the beginning because he was the one
...
controlling everything he is a realistic person who knows that kiichi's pretty words and naive actions can not change the world, he works with the law and politicians to try to make the change in world that both of them want.
Kiichi is basically about a guy who can not stand all the injustices that the weak suffer without even have the right to defend themselves, he is a guy who thinks that we have to stand up against the government and fight for our proper rights, but in the end he notices that it is kind of impossible doing that type of revolution by the "correct" means, in other words, kiichi understand that he can not fight the state using the law that the state creates as a weapon, so he became a terrorist and kidnap important people from the government to scare the system.
He is introduced in the terrorism by a guy who takes him to a country city and introduce him to a woman who Kiichi fall in love and started to work with her, that was the leader of the terrorist, kai try to make things work even without Kiichi who left him alone saying that his business was a fraud. But eventually, when kai started to work more with a candidate for prime minister, politicians from other party's started to make up lies of kai business and he is arrested.
In the end, kiichi becomes a terrorist because he felt in love with a woman with at least 8 years of difference in age, he dies wishing that he didn't have to die, his ideal of change the world kinda didn't perpetuated, he is more remembered as a villain than a revolutionary, the world doesn't change too much after his death too.
Kai in the end just accept that he cant change the system by the correct means, and allies himself with the terrorists, but i dont know, kai simply become an rage sack without a true reason to fight anymore.
What annoys me is that kiichi is put like a messiah that can save society from its rottenness, but no, he is just a guy with irealistic ideals an actions that didn't culminate in anything practically, only what is showed to us is that the grandson of the kurita made an group that is against the adult presumption, and nothing else, kiichi dies, without shaking the world, unlikely the samson story that they compare with him.
In the beginning of the manga we see a person hanging on a forest asking for kiichi's help, and what we get is that kiichi chose to cause a little fear in the system and nothing more, when he was in kiichi's company he was more of a messiah than he was when a "true revolutionary" the big problem with society to him turned to be the persons who did something wrong and did not pay out their sins, not the system who is sinful. I was hoping to see war and kiichi in a leadership of a broken japan, not a lover boy who turned to be a coward and regret his choices, live spontaneously he said but all that kiichi did was to have sex with a woman, kinda disappointed for that he always could get puss# didn't need to became a terrorist and abandon his first (but naive and good) ideals
