When you live in a place that has a mind of its own, the impossible becomes possible. Ghosts, curses, time travel, knowing the future - all of this comes true in these manga, and it's bc of the unique places that their inhabitants live in.

Both manga make use of a very similar story which pits young people in positions of danger as they try to escape an inevitable curse they are forced into. From there as the character make attempts to escape the inevitable questions revolving around identity, the who and what, come to cause. So if your looking for another creepy short horror tale very similar to Another I suggest you go and read Sugiru Juunana no Haru.

They have a similar feels, something that feels mysterious and scary but still enchanting on it's own ways.

While they develop differently, the basic plot is pretty much identical: Cousins faced with a family curse and their struggle to fight it. However, Sleeping Moon is BL - very light, though.

Ghost Hunt and Sugiru Juunana no Haru are written by the same author, Ono Fuyumi, but illustrated by different artists (Inada Shiho and Yamamoto Kotetsuko). Both stories carry the same eerie atmosphere surrounding mysterious cases of ghosts, curses, and other supernatural elements. Characters work to piece the clues together using a variety of means such as scientific reasoning and simple detective work. Ghost Hunt deals more with characters possessing psychic abilities and being part of a specialized team, complete with comedic moments and romance hints. Sugiru Juunana no Haru deals only with normal folks and an haunting incident, and is less comedic and more familial.  read more
