This manga has the aura of a mainstream comedy manga, and if you’re reading this, then you’re here before its popularity skyrockets — seriously, this is some good, fun stuff that capitalizes on the trope of mostly emotionless mcs finding solace.
I’ll state the massive positive regarding the story: it’s simple but wholesome. The plot isn’t too complicated, though it tries to be at times, making the comedy very dumbed down in a good way.
The mc and fmc also aren’t too dumb, and their interactions are equally hilarious and wholesome at the same time, which is hard to accomplish.
As for a slight negative, I
...
wish there was more development or depth in the plotline or characters; however, that’s not a major knack since when there has been depth, it’s some good writing that wasn’t forced into the story. It’s also a bit understandable if this manga lasts anywhere from 90-170 chapters, causing a rather slow but well-worth development.
There’s absolutely zero reason not to pick this up and give it a shot, even if the genre seems a bit out of your ballpark. There’s enough action to satisfy thrill-seeking readers, enough cute/wholesome interactions for the kawaii enjoyers, and a solid amount of comedy for everyone; of course, these are all accompanied by some visually appealing art.
