Have you ever read the first chapter of a romance manga and tell yourself, “This won’t be good for my heart…” yeah, this is that type of manga. Despite that feeling, I tend to like these conflicted, drama fest of a plot, as it makes the characters have some emotional value. However, during the entire session of this train wreck, the manga left an impression of “what just happened.” Not the “what just happened” in the way that the plot is full of surprises, but the “what just…” in the form of everything is so incredibly forgettable and useless.
The biggest flaw of this manga
...
is the plot; even the pseudo progressions that the author incorporates, there’s just an underlying feeling of the plot being incredibly slow, almost stagnant. In the lot of 41 chapters, there was one minuscule conflict between the characters that somehow kept dragging on and on with no resolution in sight. If you asked me to transcribe what happened or what I read, my response would be: “A love triangle… uh, a manga about a love triangle.” Every development leaves a forgettable impression, despite the occasional aching moments.
To quickly note, the author can’t seem to make a follow-up scene for the life of him/her. Once a chapter leaves an open-ending for an effect of suspense, the next chapter immediately skips to the resolution or afterward with a flashback onto the scene… what a great way to ruin any immersion or tension you’ve built up in the previous chapter, author.
In 41 grueling chapters, the characters were of course developed… I think? Besides for the obvious discovered love, the main cast don’t reveal many signs of change or development.
Once you’re on the ride or have committed to reading further than 15 chapters of this manga, it’s almost a mandatory or impulsive feeling to see the end of this train wreck. Despite all my complaints or bashes, it’s still entertaining due to the drama; well, if you’re a masochist to character love drama then you still might love this, like me, despite all of its pertained flaws.
