Gal mangas are enjoyable for one reason: the quirkiness they have that aren’t in regular heroines. However, in this manga, the gal is “too quirky.” It’s like the author in every chapter is trying to remind the reader that the fmc is a gyaru through her speech and not her actions. Of course, with such a direct way of incorporating characters, the story quickly loses its charm.
The manga, despite having somewhat of a unique twist on the gal genre, quickly devolves into an average gal rom-com with a “loser” or spineless mc. It’s nothing more nor less than that with little to no development
...
in romantic subplots, or if there is, there is no reasoning behind the developments of love, etc.
Outside the concept itself, the manga isn’t that enjoyable. If you like the whole Mangaka trope, which I love, then you’d probably enjoy this more than an average story, but that’s it; you won’t love this.
