Synopsis

Yunifer Magnolia already knows how her life ends, as she is actually a modern-day woman who transmigrated into a love story. When Grand Duke Ishid Lucrenze falls in love with her best friend, Raelle Carnia, Yunifer grows into a jealous villainess and is eventually killed for relentlessly tormenting Raelle. Thankfully, Yunifer lands at a point in the story before these events unfold and swears to prevent her grim fate.

Despite Yunifer's best efforts to avoid Raelle and Ishid entirely, her plan is thrown into disarray when she wakes up in bed with Ishid by her side. Caught in an awkward situation, Yunifer decides to play along with the suddenly smitten Ishid and become his lover with the intention to step aside once he meets his destined Raelle. But Ishid's genuine affection stirs something inside Yunifer, and she finds herself falling for the handsome hero, ready to turn her ill-fated future into a romantic happy ending.

Overall, this is a story that knows how to write adults. Better yet, romance between adults.

While there's a well-done plot beyond romance, the story itself is just as it's titled: the Villainess is, indeed, in Love. With a little help of the convenient worldbuilding wherein the two's inner natures - water and fire - balance the other out and, in safer words, their chemistry is perfect.

FL was isekai'd into the story as the villain who vied for her best friend's man, but a year prior so none of the story itself truly began. So in order to avoid becoming such a character, FL ...

A good OI (Otome Isekai) manhwa that focuses almost entirely on mature romance of the two main characters. It won't distract you with useless plot points like economy/capitalism, high society ladies drama, misunderstandings, political games, toxic relationships etc..
