i've seen several poeple around the net calling the MC an asshole or some other shallow and demeaning caricature, they simply didn't understand the point of the story. it's honestly refreshing how 'flawed' the MC is. his faulty actions stemmed forth from a deep feeling of inadequacy, he's not just being a dumbass. he's genuinely afraid of being hated or disliked. over the course of the chapters you can see him opening up and growing as a person with the final act of him coming clean about the whole thing. the point of the story wasn't the coming together of a couple, love story or ...

Yikes, this really did hurt.

At the end of the day, this story is a cautionary tale about keeping secrets in your relationships and about holding back when it comes to love.

God's plan often comes at you sideways, and this manga illustrates that very well. It also illustrates the importance of taking those blows standing, because in the end, you'll be happier that way.

Sadly, our protagonist doesn't do this. He comes close, but at the end of the day, his inhibitions and secret-keeping get to him, and he ruins what was given to him.

It's tragic, but in a good way. A cautionary tale that ...
