I'm actually kinda sad to have rated this manwha so low, but I have my reasons.
Genuinely, this is a pretty high quality manwha - It's well written with a cast of 3-dimensional characters with genuinely lovely art and well balanced and thought out plot lines. It was a delightful read and it wasn't a slog, ending at a good pace and wrapping up any loose threads.
Though, despite all of this, I rated the series very low because of two very prominent factors; The weird relationship between Stella Lapis and one of her teachers and the fact the ending, despite it's merits, glosses over a lot
...
of stuff to try and hit every relationship base possible.
1. Stella Lapis is written well, following the theme of nuanced characters she is, despite her ups and downs, someone you can really sympathise with and understand her motives throughout the series. However, at the end of the manwha she begins to try and engage with a professor romantically. Of course, the professor tries to get her to not do this, but it's half a--ed at best. The ending specifically has a scene where they clearly have the chance to become a couple and it's just extremely gross and comes out from left field, no prior warning given.
2. The ending up until a certain point is very good, it takes a few chapters to fully wrap everything up but in the grand finale it's ruined by the rush through of Louise and Ian's relationship. We go from the finale moments in a ball to immediately them sleeping together, to Louise meeting an old friend to their wedding. It's all disjointed and really didn't need to be included as it muddled the experience of the story.
Overall, I think reading it would be worth it, but I personally was so taken a-back by Stella's ending that I just couldn't bring myself to rate it high.
