All of these are romance, but they're also either fantasy or isekai (or both) *.*

Otome Isekai is a sub-genre of Isekai where the main character(s) are in some way transported to another world that resembles an otome game...

It is essentially the girly version of the modern shounen isekai that goes in the direction of female wish fulfillment. Instead of stuck in an action game, she's stuck in a romance novel or romance game. It is almost always "died and reborn there" rather than the sort of "stuck" we see in Sword Art Online or the "teleported" we saw in the 90s.

5/27/2022 Note: Unfortunately, 50 on both lists won't be enough to include every Otome Isekai in existence. This genre has grown into a beast.

A collection of romantic fantasies set in the European Middle Ages.

Most of these stories are centred around strong female leads who are reincarnated or isekai’ed into another realm filled with magic.

Some of these stories such as ‘Roxana’ or ‘The Remarried Empress’ take a refreshing diverge from the rest as they do not include reincarnation or isekai and instead focus upon the time period or fantasy elements. Highly recommend these if you can’t tell ^^

It was so difficult to find the manhwa I like that My Anime List even had, lmfao! I thought they had more of a selection but I guess not. It makes sense though, this is a Anime and Manga site mostly? This list is just a selection of some isekai romance manhwa’s. I hope you find something new, I did put a solid two hours into this list. (Explanations Coming Soon)

This list includes everything from mushy cutesy to ‘oh god I'm on a watchlist now’ so scroll with precaution.

There are two requirements for this list:
-The yandere needs to take up ATLEAST 1/5 screentime (if they don't take up half then ill put this note: yandere is a side character)
-no porn unless its gore or psychological horror

I've checked everything so even if the yandereness doesn't show at first trust that it's coming.

Immense to say the least.

Working on reading at least one chapter from everything in the 'villainess' Theme on MAL (plus ones that arent in that theme but I think still count) minus the novels and porn then putting my favs in here

Psychos, yanderes, fishy characters... or just some super weirdos.

My absolute favorite fantasy romance manhwa so far. Most of these stories feature strong female leads.

A lot of these I have also read the novels for either to completion or near completion and I loved them as novels as well as manhwa. Usually novels give more details and personal storylines (since they're usually told from first person perspective). The novel romance scenes are usually more involved than their manhwa adaptations. So if you love any of these that started out as a novel, do check out the novel! Because you'll probably love it just as much if not more for the extra detail.

Two manhwa that MAL doesn't have listings for yet that I will add later:
1. Under the Oak Tree - The ultimate trash soap opera fantasy romance. Grab a bag of popcorn for this hot mess. It will not disappoint.
2. I Raised A Black Dragon - Super cute couple, fun fantasy / mystery story. Artwork is also cute.

Additional Notes: I personally adored the novel for "Return of the Female Knight" (aka "Return of Elena the Knight" manhwa). I've read the novel 5 times already. Maybe I'm too biased from reading the novel but I couldn't enjoy the manhwa. It is similar in tone to "From A Knight to a Lady". Personally, I like the themes in "Return of the Female Knight" (novel) better. So do check it out if you enjoyed "From A Knight to a Lady". It feels wrong of me not to include ROTFK on here but I just can't put it in a list titled "Best Manhwa".

💭 This is ranked (as much as possible) by the male white-haired character's level of "male leadness" and since this is more or less a stack of romance manhwas, the criteria we're going to go with is that they should be the main love interest or endgame for the female lead.
💭 Therefore, there will actually be manhwas listed here that features the white-haired character as a second/third/etc. lead, support role, or in general just doesn't apply to the criteria we're following above. Don't worry as I'll be very specific about it as possible to prepare you for the heartbreak.
💭 The MLs' name would also be mentioned. The manhwa's synopsis would also be added right after so if you don't want to see any of that, I would recommend switching to tile/seasonal view.
