This is oddly enjoyable; I went into the chapters with full blown expectations of ripping this manga on how much of a wish fulfillment and horny read it is, however, it somehow became quite a blast to read. There was a similar manga to this, word for word, bar for bar with the same premise and abilities, which I ended up hating, but those feelings didn’t transfer over to this. There’s something about the pacing, characters, or development that makes this manga palpable compared to most jarring revenge stories, especially ones revolving around rape.

Revenge mangas have a tendency to justify the main character’s actions ... while hiding him behind the pretense of “he’s still a good person,” but this manga does none of that. The mc is mostly self aware of his atrocities while also developing to be and not to be the biggest scum of the earth; call him an incel, but he’s rather likable. The side characters and revenge targets are pretty archetypal, but some of their thoughts and actions provide a somewhat unique twist from the usual cliches, which makes the manga quite funny.

Revenge mangas are rarely done in a palpable and enjoyable manner due to numerous of reasons, but this manga somehow makes the doomed combo of an erotica and revenge work via the main character’s small bit of humanity. Definitely not a manga for everyone, but as someone who has read thirty chapters of “Redo Healer,” the experience of revenge is fun while it lasts.

This is an odd one.

The manga tries to catch you with a fairly original setting, it being a random guy who has the power to create a room whenever and wherever he wants. The power functions like any other isekai power. Level up and get new abilities, in this case he could e.g. create furniture for the room or even get extra rooms.

The exiting part is that he can do whatever he wants in his room. He makes the laws. He wants to throw a tea party in there? sure. He can use the room to store stuff and access it from anywhere he ... wants? sure. He wants to abduct classmates and rape them? sure. He wants to torture people? sure. He wants to murder people? sure. When the door it's invisible to other people so the tricky part is only to to keep the door a secret form others when it is open.
Surprisingly this makes the whole concept a lot more entertaining. He can't just willy nilly teleport somebody to his room. He needs at least some degree of competence to e.g. abduct someone. Paired with the rather bland protagonist and the "you can do whatever in the room"-idea the manga effectively lets its readers fantasize what they would do with that power. The typical self insert type of setting.

So if there is clearly appeal here, why is it still not good? Simply because of the execution. The setting has some serious potential but the author lacks in skill. If a genius like Aka Akasaka, Yamada Kanehito or Rifujin na Magonote would be in charge of the story I'm sure it would be a massive success. And if they employ some artists from nhentai this would be straight up fire.


All in all, Kankin Ou is a mediocre manga with an exceptional idea. Some might argue that the plot is unethical and inappropriate but this is still just a manga. If it is entertaining then it has the right to exist. The manga keeps me reading so I would argue it manages at least that much.
If you enjoy this stupid type of manga like me then I suggest reading "Yuusha ni Zenbu Ubawareta Ore wa Yuusha no Hahaoya to Party wo Kumimashita!", also known as "The Hero Took Everything from Me, So I Partied with the Hero's Mother!"

tldr protagonist is a rapist

i dont know how anyone can really enjoy this as just a casual read. It is make for horny weirdos who get off to the mc raping girls. i mean in the latest chapters he kidnaps like 30 girls just to rape them its weird i dont know who would just read this. I can kinda get it if your jerking off to it, but it isnt even that good when it comes to hentai. its just not that good no mater how you look at it.

most of the time they kinda try to make it the girls fault or ... say that they like it (i think) but he still seems like a rapist
