One thing I've noticed over the years is the sheer amount of people that want recommendations based on a handful of titles that get the whole "being a teenager is physical and emotional hell" angle down pat. You know the ones, we've all been there.

The listed series all deal with the relationships between youths and their bodies, the bodies of others, and the difficulties of becoming an adult. I tried to select series that are more grounded, but ones that capture that same mood and themes will be considered as well.

Psychological drama, occasionally known as dark drama or was related to psychodrama, is a sub-genre of drama that places emphasis on psychological elements. It often overlaps with other genres such as fantasy, black comedy, and science fiction, while the genre is closely related with the psychological horror and psychological thriller genres. Psychological dramas use these genres tropes to focus on the human condition and psychological effects, usually in a mature and serious tone.

Psychological drama explore thematic elements such as abandonment, coming-of-age problems, denialism, disability, distorted sequences, dysfunctional relationships, human sexuality, mental disorders, mood swings, odd behaviors, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychological abuse, psychedelic art, social issues, and other serious discussions that unlikely centers themes turn more focused on both issues of the character's life and reality.

aka "don't let your kid read this alone" manga, or "why the F is this Shounen?" manga.
If you can't stand gore or dangerous/extreme mental body of thought, don't try these.

Mangas from different genres and demographies that will most likely leave a mark on you. Rich stories with strong characters and themes, sometimes uplifting, sometimes tragic, but stories worth telling. Beware of the TWs, lots of the mangas presented here contain delicate subjects
